EXCELLENT BUT - 30 FOOT not 30 inch - come on Amazon...
I have not "field tested" this to date thank goodness. But they do support my weight in a harness during a controlled test in my shop with a winch. Controlled by a wife... I do NOT recommend this setup! LOL Get a buddy. Easy to deploy and install onto the tree. It is for this reason I selected this brand and type. Although you can make one of these, any boater or scouter knows these knots. But at this price point why not just buy them and use what has been tested? I keep them up during the season and they come down after. Then they are hung in the garage for a few days to ensure they are dry, then stored in a plastic container for the next season. I am on season 2 with mine and see no physical fraying, discoloration or signs of wear from either use or the sun. I'm happy. I don't give 5 stars away easily...

Great rope, worth the spend
I've got several of these Muddy lines on the farm, some for three years or so, and they do the job. Several things I like about them, including the fact that they've got two Prussic knots, so you can climb up attached to the tree linesman-style and then pull your bow or gun up on the same rope. I like the reflective threading, which is helpful looking for your stand of a cold, dark morning in the woods (you can see it from way far away), and I appreciate the sturdiness of the rope. That gives you confidence, but it's almost TOO stiff, as when it freezes it gets pretty hard to manipulate. The Prussic rope I can compare it to directly is the Millennium rope that comes with their tree stands. I'd say the Millennium rope is more limber and easy to manipulate, but my guess is the Muddy will last longer. I also have a Hunter Safety Systems rope that's pretty similar. I buy my own sturdy Muddy or HSS carabiners to attach gear and myself to, and the older I get the more secure I feel attaching to a rope climbing up and down, Used to never tie off but these days, at 60, I'm more comfortable doing so. I also like that it doesn't have the rubber "bell" over the bottom loop, as does my HSS, which can be a PITA on frozen mornings. All in all, a quality rope worth the money and safe as heck.

Safety is worth every penny.
It's hard to put a price on safety. This is a quality product. Use a harness and safety rope and get back home safe to your loved ones.

Perfect for the stand hunter
I started out using an industrial harness and fall restraint because I had them on hand but it was almost laughable trying to be quiet with all the jingling buckles and such. So I set out to find something more suitable for a bow hunter in a tree stand. This is a plain, simple and seemingly effective solution to making sure your trips into the trees remain safe from the time you leave the ground until you arrive back again along with all that goes on in between. Review of safety harness elsewhere...

This muddy safe line is so simple to attach to your tree and then clip onto your harness. You simply slide it up as you climb up and then slide down while coming down the tree. Definitely will recommend this to all my friends who hunt from tree stands.
