love this dye because the color turns out exactly like the box. Also, it doesn't dry out my hair; on the contrary, it feels very nourished thanks to the included oils. It covers gray hair 100%.

Color not really as shown in picture; not much cherry at all - it is instead the most magnificent purple-black. I'm especially delighted with the grey coverage - I'm about 15% grey on medium brown hair - the brown turns nearly black after the suggested 30 minute application, and the grey hairs are ELECTRIC PURPLE. I could not be happier - even better than my long-beloved and now discontinued Natural Instincts Balinese Amethyst. Smell is more intense than the Natural Instincts, tho. Be sure to apply in well ventilated area and rinse very, very well.

I’ve been using this hair dye for a while, and the results are excellent. The color is natural and even, with great durability. Even after a few weeks, the color remains vibrant. It’s easy to apply, and after dyeing, my hair doesn’t feel dry and stays smooth. One thing to note is that after dyeing, I noticed some color washing out during the first few washes, but this gradually decreased over time. It just shows that the dye releases a fair amount of pigment, though it doesn’t affect the final result. Despite this, the value for money is very high, and I’ve been continuously using this product. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for effective, long-lasting hair color.

I have used Garnier Nutrisse 42-Black Cherry for 8-10 years. The color was perfect and I cannot express how many numerous, numerous times I have gotten compliments on the color. I bought it last week, saw the box difference along with Improved Richer Color and thought, oh no, they messed with it. Boy was I correct, instead of the normal purple undertones it is now an orange/red undertone. Not anywhere close to the same color. My scalp was orange after and my hair a more rust color than Black Cherry (Plum). I cannot express my disappointment in this change. If it were just what was implied on the box it would be ok, BUT this is not that, it is a, COMPLETE COLOR CHANGE, which they should have given a new number and name to. I have now had to find another brand quickly to cover the "rust" of this improved color. I am a big fan of the Nutrisse line as it has kept my hair healthy over the years and having to switch does not make me happy. Garnier, please don't change your color profiles, enhance but when creating new colors, advertise it that way, not as improved and it is a completely different color. I have added photos to show the unfortunate color difference.

Bonito color

I wanted burgundy hair, but it turned my hair a bright vibrant red. It’s still ok, but not what I wanted or expected. I’ll have to try another hue next time. Update: stained towels even after several washes. I wouldn’t buy this dye again because of that.
