Eton American Red Cross Emergency LED Motion Sensor and Flashlight

Updating my previous review below. I apparently missed the most interesting feature. You can see the LED lens at the end....that's the flashlight. Obviously the more opaque lense in front is the 'nightlight' or should I say lantern feature. It's quite bright. Too bright in fact to be a nightlight. Ah....but that's the trick. When you go to bed there is a motion sensor and so when you have the lights out then are in bed, in about 30 seconds or perhaps a minute the light dims. Then it dims more. So it's bright and effectively a 'lantern' or lamp if you will in the room but then automatically dials down the light to a simple nightlight. Similarly if you get up in the dark it immediately gets brighter. It seems to be pretty good at discerning whether you are simply rolling over in bed vs getting up. Anyway I thought this was the neatest feature. Even if you don't think it's valuable for you, your kids will. --------------------------------------------------- Great product. Simple and effective. Plug it into a wall socket and you've got a great night light....light can select between several colors. You'll never wonder where the flashlight is when the lights go out because the night light will automatically come on....auto emergency lighting. Then just pull it out of the electrical outlet and use the flashlight feature. LEDs will mean long light. You could use for either a lantern or a flashlight in the dark. I guess I won't have to try to remember where I put the flashlight anymore. I'm headed out on a business trip next week and might take it along for the hotel. I hate that hotel rooms seem to have two versions of light....completely pitch black or leave a light on and too light.

These lights are easy to use and bright. Good value for the money.

I've had these all around our house for years and decided to get some for my kids homes. They are AWESOME in a power outage. They come on automatically and will light your way down a hall or into a bedroom to find your flashlight, candles or lanterns, whatever you have on hand. You can also use these as a motion sensor night light wherever you plug them in. Like I said, I have multiple, one in each bedroom, hallway, living room, kitchen and laundry room.

I was kind of excited to order these once I discovered them, power outages are VERY frequent in East Texas. They arrived in a plastic bag with two individually packaged units. There were no directions included, so I had to play with the button and switch a bit. Basically it gives you an option to have the night light off, off then comes on with motion, and on at a low light getting brighter with motion. And the night light is very bright, I recommend leaving the switch in the off position to use only as emergency lighting unless you want to get blinded at night when it comes on., or keep it in an area it will pick up motion but you won't be staring into it. To change the night light colors you have to play with the power switch, which is also how you turn on the flashlight, and wen you turn off the flashlight the night light comes on and subsequent presses of the power button cycle the night light colors till it is off. The flashlight is a very basic flashlight, more of an area light for general lighting. All in all a decent light for emergency lighting at a very affordable price. Only reason I gave it a 4 was lack of directions and having to play with it to figure out the different settings.

I have ordered a number of these lights because they are just great for what I need when the electricity goes off. You don't have to do anything once you plug these in. They give off quite a bit of light to be so small and light weight. They are great for college dorms because you don't have to worry about a bunch of batteries and the power that they give off is great. I wish that they where in stock more often because I try to give them as gifts. These are so worth the cost that I paid for them.

In an emergency situation, you can never be over-prepared. I think every household should have this product at their disposal. The product arrived quickly, with no defects in packaging and looks as described. The product has a two prong plug and plugs in nicely to any wall outlet - providing a nice night light. Take it out of the wall and you have an LED flashlight with 4 hours of battery life. You can actually change the color of the light too, from white to blue to green. The different colors add a nice ambiance to any room and can serve as a lovely nightlight in a bedroom, bathroom, or hallway. Wonderful product, works as described! I am a happy customer!

This is the second time I’ve purchased these. My first one finally died after around 15 years. I have motion lights all around my house but the difference with this one is it becomes an emergency light. It has a switch you can also use as a flashlight. While it is plugged in it’s charging so it can be used with power outages.

There is nothing wrong with the product itself, in fact it is a very good product. Except that the cover photo is very misleading and give you the illusion of the item is a pack of 3, while in fact it is only ONE piece! It is not clearly stated that it is one item neither 3 items. And I purchased it trusting that it a pack of 3, and was very disappointed, after waiting for nearly a month to arrive, just to realize it is a pack of one item!

I have tried other brands like this one but this is the best. The Reactor Brand ones were always a trial setting them so they only were a motion detector nightlight. Now that brand has decided to add many bells and whistles to the inital simple device and they do not work at all. This one though, 1 switch, clear directions and it is ready to go. Plus you can change the color of the night light if you want.

Absolutely love this product. Keeps walkway well lit with the ability to change color of the light. When power goes out, lasts all night long, Keeps the hallway lit for safety and security. Children feel comfortable. Parents know when children are awake at night as it brightens with motion detection. Great product

The photo for this product clearly shows a set of three. It is only one item in the package. Way overpriced for a single item.
