Perfect replacement
Just what was needed when the original igniter would no longer glow on my ex-mother-in-law's GE oven. You read that right... I helped my ex-mother-in-law! This is the easiest DIY project that can save you well over $150! And you'll feel accomplished and empowered to do more around your house. Only basic tools are needed... in my case just a pair of wire strippers/snips, and a 1/4" wrench. Took the oven door off (some models don't require that but it's a good chance to give it a good cleaning!), removed the cover to gain access to the igniter, unbolted and removed it. Took the new igniter, snipped off the plastic connector (because either your over uses that plastic connector or it just uses wire nuts), stripped the ends to expose 1/4" of wire, and then used the new/provided ceramic wire nuts to connect it to the oven's wiring. Bolted it all up, test fired the oven, and it worked just fine! I ran the oven a couple more times to ensure it was all working and then bragged to my friends that I'm such an amazing person.

Frustrating Experience and Poor Durability
I have purchased the replacement part for my GE oven igniter four times now, and unfortunately, each time it has failed to last more than 3-4 months. Despite the relative ease of installation, the recurring issue has made the entire process not worth the trouble. I've learned this the hard way, and I want to share my experience so others can make informed decisions. What's particularly disappointing is that the company claims a 1-year warranty on their website, but my attempts to get a replacement have been met with unhelpful responses and what feels like game-playing on their end. This lack of customer support further adds to the frustration. In an effort to find a lasting solution, I've decided to invest in the OEM part, even though it comes at a significantly higher cost. I'm hoping that the increased price will be justified by the product's longevity. I feel it's important to share this experience with others, not only to vent my frustration but also to serve as a cautionary tale. When a company falls short on both product durability and customer service, it's crucial for consumers to be aware. I strongly advise potential buyers to consider alternatives or invest in the OEM part right away to avoid the hassle I've faced. I'm in the process of exploring other options, and I hope this comment reaches those who may be contemplating a similar purchase.

Direct Replacement: Only lasted Two years
Originally bought this part as a replacement for a free stove I had received. Part dropped and bolted in just perfectly and had no issues up until recently. During a baking session the oven suddenly stopped heating and It had seemed the igniter had just quit. I decided to remove it and test it, I found it to have an electrical issue which had caused the resistance to spike to incredible high numbers, which had essentially disabled it. So I decided to purchase another in hopes that this new unit will last longer than the previous one of two years. Itโs good to note for any prospecting buyers that this company only offers a one year warranty on their igniters. Longevity may be an issue. Overall the part functions as it should, perhaps I had just got the one off fritzy unit. Time will tell.

Wish Amazon would still have next day delivery!
Nothing like your oven quitting on you in the middle of Christmas baking madness, when kids are coming home & expect a traditional meal... :( My go-to appliance parts store had the igniter in stock, but was 150+. Amazon had it for a fraction of that. I figured I could buy 10 for same price, so sure, why not try. Too bad Amazon decided to wait 5 days before shipping it (WHY???). But the part finally arrived, it fit perfectly with no modifications (13 yrs. old GE Profile) and I was back in business. Sure, it arrived after my kid left already, but luckily, I also kept my 28 yrs old GE electric wall oven and boy, was I glad I did! :) So now I'm back to order 2 more and have on hand just in case... Can't tell how long this will work, but the last expensive one lasted for about 2 years. So unless I have to replace 10 in next 2 years (I HOPE NOT!), this is a good deal. Just wish Amazon would return to prompt shipping!!!

Propane oven igniter.
Arrived on time. My 2008 Menards Premier propane stove, oven was not lighting and after troubleshooting the igniter was not glowing. Due to safety mechanisms the propane valve did not open allowing lighting by a match. I ordered this product and after taking a few parts off the oven, the removal of the old igniter and installation of the new one was easy. The plug even matched that of the old one so no splicing. After installation the igniter glowed and propane flowed with the oven working. Unsure how long it will last but its great to having oven working again.
