Easy to use and works!
The flex bar is easy to use, and is helping with my pain. My Physical therapist suggested one for home use to help with grip strength and elbow pain. It is durable and I can already tell a difference with hands and elbow. Great value!

Relief is but a few twists away
I very recently had a severe tendonitis flare up in my right elbow. I was trying the normal steps of rest and NSAIDs to hopefully reduce the flare up, but the going was very slow, and of course, very painful. After the 2nd week of this flare up, a friend recommended the flex bar due to the good results. I watched the video on it's use and was intrigued. I didn't have insurance at the time, and despite some attempts at going to urgent care (long story) I didn't have this flare up medically treated. Relief was my priority so I spent the small amount of money and eagerly waited. Fortunately, I was on the mend by the time this arrived, with dull soreness, weakness and limited range of motion. As some others have mentioned, it may not be a good idea to use this produce mid a flare up as the motion will probably hurt. It will be interesting to see if using this product will help prevent future flare ups. Due the severity of the flare up, I ordered the red bar. The 10 lb resistance sounds way too low, but remember, you are treating an injured/inflammed body part. I lift weights regularly and this color has worked at very well as a starting point. The flex bar arrives wrapped in an excercise brochure with the Tennis Elbow exercise prominently displayed. I had some trouble following the diagrams so went to the video from the company. I feel the video demonstartes the exercise better. I practiced the exercise motion until I got it right. After feeling satisfied that I had the motion down, I did 3 sets starting at 10 reps and diminishing to the 3rd. I did this before going to bed, got up and did another set of 3. I went off on my day and was surprised at how the pain was dimiinished and the range of motion improved noticeably! A few days of doing 3 sets a day brought lessend pain and increased range of motion. I've used it for over a week and my arm is pain free with MOST of the range of motion restored. I can do 3 sets of 15 reps no problem so ordered the green bar. I would love to say my arm is 100% back to battery (I estimate 90%), but it sppears I sustained permanent damage to the joint during this flare up. I'm now insured again and will have this checked in the near future. Lesson learned. I wish I had this product years ago when the condition first reared its ugly head. Remember, watch the video and get the motion down exactly as that is the key to the relief.

Big improvement in tennis elbow after about 6 weeks
After 6 weeks of physical therapy appointments and dutifully doing the home exercise routine and stretches for tennis elbow with no improvement, I found a New York Times article that reported very impressive results from a study of people with tennis elbow using this device to do an exercise called a "Tyler twist," and decided to try it. I chose the red one and it seems to have been the right option for me, a moderately active young woman. The manual that comes with it pretty clearly explains how to do the exercise the Times article mentions. I've been doing 3 sets of 15 daily for the last two months or so, and while my tennis elbow is not cured, my pain has decreased dramatically. Now I can't definitively attribute the improvement to this exercise, maybe it was just a coincidence. The orthopedist told me there's basically nothing you can do about tennis elbow but wait, so either he's wrong and this thing is miraculous, or it was just my elbow's time to feel better. At $15 I'm not losing sleep over the uncertainty. Update: a few months later, I am totally cured. Hurray!

Believe the hype - Flexbr+Tyler Twist is a miracle for tennis elbow!
My tennis elbow was caused by a traumatic injury: working out one day, I was hanging from a chin-up bar, and I felt a muscle or tending tear or release in my right forearm. Uh oh. Ever since that happened 5 months ago, I have had an unrelenting tightness and pain in my arm, especially when I try to lift anything (even a cup of coffee) or even extend my arm fully. I feared I would never be able to fully extend my ring finger again without that pain. Iโm a 47 year old, reasonably active man, and have pushed through pain before to keep up with my fitness pursuits (mostly road cycling and strength training), but this constant pain was will-sapping. Because of the pain and fear of further injury, I have barely managed any upper body strength training these last 5 months, until this weekโฆ I learned about the โTyler Twistโ treatment from that old New York Times article and decided to order the Flexbar and try it. Hard to believe something so seemingly simple could relieve what had become a months-long debilitating injury, but what could it hurt? Well, let me tell you, this feels like a miracle. Before going to bed the day I received it. I followed the instructions and did the Tyler Twist 3 times just to figure out how to do it. Wanted to be cautious and not make the pain worse. Figured Iโd really get into it the next day. Next morning I woke up and - what was this? - I could fully extend my arm with maybe 1/5 the pain as the evening before. I jumped out of bed and headed to the gym. Though I kept the weight light, I was able to do bicep curls and other lifts without that intense pain for the first time since before the injury. Itโs been two days and I feel great. In sum: Never experienced such a sudden therapeutic turnaround from anything ever. If youโre experiencing this pain that keeps you from doing the things you love, makes you think youโre older than you are, give this a shot. You may be back in action faster than you ever dared believe possible.

Keep flexing and eventually, youโll see the results
So simple and easy to use. It came with some recommend recommended exercise exercises however I found even more online. I had to purchase again I wouldโve gotten a lighter tension. I didnโt realize how difficult it was going to be to fill up my strength. Looks easier than it is, but donโt let this simple apparatus for you. Inexpensive way to have a convenient workout nearby in between visits to your gym.

Great for tennis elbow rehab
This got me on the road to recovery from tennis elbow. The doctor put me in a brace, which actually made the pain worse, so I switched to this strategy. At first, I could barely perform the exercise on the injured side. It took a couple months of 15-20 reps per day before it felt easy. 8 months later, I have been able to return to yoga and weightlifting without pain.

Great for Tennis Elbow Therapy
This FlexBar was perfect to use alongside my physical therapy for tennis elbow after receiving cortisone shots. The size is perfect, and the resistance level works great for rehab exercises. Itโs very durable, made of high-quality material, and easy to use daily. The price is honestly a steal for the value you get. Iโve noticed a real difference incorporating it into my routine โ highly recommend for anyone recovering from elbow pain!

Excellent
I bought this product because I have a long term elbow/forearm strain injury that I could not seem to heal from (Iโve had it for about five years). After using the flexbar for about three months, I have started to feel noticeable improvement. There are plenty of video tutorials online that show you how to get the best from it, and once you work out which exercises to use you will soon feel the benefit.

Recommended by my personal trainer to improve wrist & hand strength & flexibility, help reduce pain.
My personal trainer (the best I've had & very knowledgeable) recommended that I get a Theraband Flexbar to improve my hand and wrist strength, which I've noticed is not as strong as it used to be. I'm 61, fit and healthy, with strong legs but my upper body strength needs improvement. I've noticed that I'm finding it harder to get twist caps off bottles, plus I've got 'Golfers Elbow', even though I don't play golf! The thinnest Flexbar is yellow, the next one up in the range is red - ideal for starting off if you're not too weak, particularly females. It's made of solid flexible rubber, 30cm long x 3.5cm across. It comes sealed in thick cellophane wrapping, with a User Guide wrapped around the Flexbar. There are 2 exercises with b&w photos of a person using the Flexbar, and very brief instructions under each photo. The instructions didn't make sense to me, not descriptive enough, which was disappointing. I recommend that you look up online videos on how to use it. My PT, Nick of No Regrets Training, has online videos showing how to do a variety of exercises with the Flexbar. He also has an older Theraband Flexbar Instruction Manual, published in 2005, with 26 exercises (see my photos). Maybe Theraband should consider updating the Manual and including it with their Flexbars ...

Great product that effectively eliminates elbow tendinopathy.
I'm a guitar player who suffered from chronic golfer's elbow from 2009 until 2016. Symptoms got bad to a point where I had to drop out of university in guitar and stop playing altogether for a long time. I tried icing, stretching, light dumbbell exercises and physiotherapy which seemed to improve the situation temporarily but not completely. For a while I saw no way out of it, I felt depressed and I thought I'd had to live with this condition for the rest of my life. Then couple years ago, for fun, I started boxing. I enjoyed the sport and it generally added strength in my upper body, including the arms, helping greatly with my golfer's elbow. Afterwards a good physiotherapist and the Theraband came along and I can say the symptoms are 90% gone, i'm back into music full time and I'm playing better than ever. For the remaining 10%? Well sometimes I feel a pinch, but the pain is minimal and lasts seconds instead of days. Chronic tendon problems are an annoying and debilitating burden. There is no miracle cure! Give it time, educate yourself on the subject of tendinopathy, reduce stress, mind and body are more connected than we think, get active and get the Theraband. It has been specifically designed to cure our type of issue. Start with the lighter one, 'red', then progress to 'green'. Follow a plan, the goal is to do as many repetitions as you can with little or no pain, stick to it and be dedicated. Slowly you will get better, it took me months to improve and reduce symptoms but it did resolve.
