Very well made.. good weight, nicely balanced and sharp. This thing has zero issues cutting through chicken quarters with one swing.

I got this little gem to add to my collection and yes it's new but you have to look at quality and price if you look here you will find a super great deal you cannt go wrong.

Also entweder habe ich eine schlechte charge bekommen (glaube ich nicht, mehr dazu gleich) oder mein Anspruch an Schärfe ist ein anderer als der des Herstellers und der meisten Rezensenten hier. Material und Verarbeitung sind gut, aber von Schärfe war am Anfang nichts zu merken, ja, man konnte drücken und schlagen, aber einen sauberen Schnitt? Fehlanzeige! Ich habe es jetzt nachgeschärft von Hand, mit ordentlich Materialabtrag. Warum war das nötig? Der Winkel in dem geschärft war, war definitiv nicht richtig. Der Winkel war viel zu groß, der eigentliche Übergang von der scharfen Schneide zur Klinge war innerhalb von wenigen 1-2mm geschnitten auf einer Dicke von gut ebensolchen 1-2mm, mehr geschätzt als gemessen, aber die Schneide war eher mit einem Winkel von 45 grad geschärft als von den sinnvollen 30 grad. Jetzt da ich das geändert hab, kann man schneiden und sauber durchtrennen. Jetzt bin ich sehr zufrieden, aber die Beschreibung sollte nochmal überarbeitet werden, ohne händischen Eingriff ist das kein Werkzeug sondern eine Dekoration.

So we have no basis for meat cleavers as this is our first. But this one looks nice, feels nice and is pretty sharp and can get even sharper. The handle is large, ergonomic and comfortable. It is a good solid weight and pretty sure we'll be able to bust through some raw chicken thighs with little effort. I bought this as a gift for my wife (should I be worried??). The only thing that upset me was the box was damaged as if it had been returned and it lessened the value of the gift. But separating the box from the product is easy and the product seems to be good value.

While it can be used for veggies and meat, I use it only for meats. The weight takes some getting used to. Once you get past it, the cleaver does the job itself. The weight and the sharpness cut through meat like butter. Bones need a little more strength obviously..but still gets the job done! I do feel that the sharpness is going down after every use. I should look for a sharpener soon! Definitely a good buy. This was a gift from my family. The box and packaging is very fancy!
