Race Face Boot CRANKS ALI/Small

These definitely fit RaceFace Aeffect 165mm cranks. Snug, but you don't have to pound them on. Good fit but overpriced (paying for the name).

I was a bit nervous that these would not fit my Shimano XT M8120 cranks, but they fit perfectly. They seem to be well crafted and should protect the cranks from rock strikes on the trail. The only real downside is that in my opinion the price is high for what they are.

Good fit for SLX; however, my Kona pedals have very low clearance at the bottom towards the cranks. I had to cut the hole much larger for the pedals otherwise the pedals won't spin at all. As a result, there's barely any meat left around the boot hole. I wish they make the boot longer so it will cover more real estate of the crank. I will ride and see how long it lasts. These Kona pedals are my favorites so switching them out won't the first choice but we will see. Many pedals have bigger room at the bottom so this shouldn't be an issue for most people. These Kona pedals are just almost "FLUSH" against the crank surface.

These fit my XT crank arms perfectly and protect them from rock strikes.

I found descriptions lacking a bit for this product type both from RaceFace and SRAM. This review should be read in conjunction with attached images which provide measurements. I needed these for my SRAM T-Type XO Transmission aluminum cranks and the RaceFace smalls did the trick. Based on measuring the crank arms, I’d say to size down as it allows for a more tight fit as you don’t want these bouncing around. The SRAM option and RF mediums fit sloppy.

These are nice for the price if they work for you. Mine didn't quite line up on my Praxis crank arms, but I used a burr bit to modify them. Fits now!

These fit my SLX cranks PERFECTLY. I mean, perfectly. Like a latex glove that is one size too small. Cleaned the cranks, pressed these on, albeit with a good amount of force, and that's that. Holes on both sides lined up perfectly. I could not possibly have been more pleased with my purchase. The look is very streamlined and subtle and they are substantial enough that you will never have to worry about banging up your beautiful new cranks. If these get too scratched, you just buy another pair. The material is pliable, but stiff enough that you don't have to worry about it coming off as long as the fit is good. Buy them.
