Rough Country Cold Air Intake for 09-13 Chevy Silverado GMC Sierra 1500-10543

Installed on my 2013 Silverado with the 4.8 liter v8 and it fit perfectly. Engine feels a little snappier and it sounds cool. It also looks way cooler than the stock intake system. Installing it is not hard as long as you have an 8mm socket for the clamps. Definitely a good buy.

Sounds great, fit perfect no issues, the instructions were horrible could definitely use improvement but overall was simple and straight forward to figure out. I noticed the increase in power right away when hopping on the highway, and I can definitely say it's improved my all round performance, even seems to improve the fuel efficiency as well!!! Will definitely buy again for other vehicles and can say 10/10 would recommend.

This thing is great. I replaced a cracked OEM setup, and it doesn't really seem louder to me. It's also very deep-sounding and makes driving a lot more fun. I got a few extra miles; I went from 14 to 15 miles per gallon on my commute as well. It also feels a bit stronger, though I don't have a dependable way to measure horsepower with my setup. I will say that if you are in a storm or rain, be cautious, as since this design is more open than OEM, there is probably a higher chance of pulling water from outside of the hood.

For how cheap it was, it’s worth the money. The heat shield didn’t fit super well, but all the CAI’s I’ve installed, none of them seem to. Engine is noticeably louder above 2krpm. But everyday driving it’s unnoticeable. Noticed a little better low end pick up, but nothing extreme. Gas mileage for how I drive seemed to improve by 3mpg average for 100miles. Took maybe an hour to install. Would recommend

Bought this for my 13 GMC sierra 5.3. Looks good under the hood, gas mileage still sucks but what do you expect, sounds great!, can definitely hear the air being sucked in. Easy to install. Can't really tell you if it actually gained power or not because I installed at the same of installing a stage 1 cam, racing lifters and valve springs..

Helped lower end torque tremendously now I have to try to figure out how to keep the tires from burning off!

Overall good upgrade to my 2013 Silverado. Everything had gone together easily. I’ve had it installed for about 18 months and have ran into 2 issues; First is the rubber coupler that attaches to the intake box had ripped which was an easy enough fix. Finding the exact size I needed was a PITA, but thanks to AI I was able to figure out the correct inner diameter coupler I needed. Again, rough country’s website did not help me at all with the PVC barbed hose fitting. When I went to replace the torn coupler I obviously had to remove the entire intake tube including the PLASTIC PVC fitting that threads into the bung. The barbed end snapped off in the airline and I had to use electric tape as a temporary solution until the replacement came in (1/4”x5/8). Buy this part now and replace it before it breaks! Why rough country doesn’t use metal hardware on a critical part like this is beyond me.

Sounds more aggressive and perfect gift. Fit was great.

Definitely satisfied with the performance and sound added by this, relatively easy to install, was able to install in about 45 min, and am not a mechanic. Has all the bolts/clamps/accessories to mount it. Had to drill 1 hole to secure the bracket that holds the cold air intake in place with the angle bracket. Just have a 1/2" or 9/16" metal drill bit and drill when installing if the factory holes don't lune up. Easy to do though. Sounds good when you have to accelerate and show the guy beside ya who's boss.........
