Shaving Soap, 6 Count

I love this product and I still give it a 5/5 but I don't like the smell as much as I liked Williams Mug shaving soap. Williams Mug being discontinued is what sparked me to research and discover this product. My wife actually found it for me! I love it! It's slightly more expensive, by weight, but it may actually offer superior value because the soap lasts a good bit longer. I don't think you need to use quite as much of it to get a good lather of the same texture, and that's a big plus for me. I'm not crazy about the smell. It's not exactly bad or off-putting, I just find I like it noticeably less than my old favorite two, Colgate, which was discontinued many years ago, and Williams Mug, which was discontinued only a few years back. If I had to comment about what I dislike about the smell, it's that the smell is stronger overall, and there is a cinnamon note in the aroma that I dislike. I tend to like soaps that smell more like soap, and I also like floral smells and smells iike tea or citrus. It's a minor complaint. If this brand offered different aromas I'd try out a different one. I'm a huge fan of it and will be a loyal customer when I run out...which is not going to be any time soon because this six-pack lasts a LONG time. Like I shave every day and it's been nearly a year and I am only now using up the first in the pack. Talk about excellent value!!!

An excellent product: the lather is rich and creamy with a slightly citrusy scent. We were sorry not to be able to get Williams soap, but this is an excellent replacement, producing a good close shave.

Ive always been a cup and brush man. Good shaving soap that's not overpriced fru fru garbage. Good foam, long lasting cakes.

These no-frills shaving soaps are a good value at less than $3 each as of the time of writing this review. They are small soaps, but they're a good size for using in a shaving mug. I quite like the scent. It's fresh, clean, and pleasantly strong. It smells a bit sweet and herbal with some citrus. Other reviewers have mentioned that they could not get this soap to make a stable lather. Unfortunately, that is true for me as well - no matter how much soap or water I use, the lather will dissipate. Despite the issues with stability, the lather is PLENTY slick enough to give a good shave. I'm getting the best results by soaking the soap while I shower and then loading my brush very heavily with soap, and painting the pasty lather right on my wet face. I've also found that I need to go back to the soap with my brush in between passes to get enough lather but this soap is so cheap that this doesn't bother me too much. While I don't necessarily recommend this soap to wet-shaving enthusiasts, it's fine for what it is and it does a good job as long as you don't mind a thin/dissipating lather.

Excellent product. I finally used up my stash of Williams and decided to try this brand. Quick lather, slick shave, very nice smell. So far I’m very happy with the soap

Does Not have a rich lather. When he started using it, his face broke out. When he quit the breakout went away.

Almost scent free. The lather is great and doesn't take very long to build. Pucks are a little small but the price is fair and the product is of a good quality.

Much better than I expected - lathers easily and has a "clean" scent. I use this soap in the shower for my head shaves. Keep it in a small plastic tub and use a synthetic and the soap lathers easily and quickly.

Excellent shaving soap. I'll never buy a can of leg shaving cream again. Lasts for a long time. Fantastic product.

It's not bad! Lathers reasonably well and rinces easily.
