ALTRA Unisex Trail Gaiter

Ordered yesterday. Arrived today. They are a close fit over my size 9 feet/heels and an elastic fit over my socks without hindering blood flow. The gaiter's hook fits under the first lace crossover. I have not used, nor do I anticipate using, the Velcro on the heels since the body of the gaiter is, well, snug. Initial use will be to keep shredded leaves out of the boots in FDR State Park. In August, they will be used to reduce fine granite dust, and sand pebbles from dropping into the boots tops on the JMT. Ha! They match my blue Osprey pack. Update: I wore the gaiters on a 12-mile hike in FDR State Park, and they performed very well. Not once did they slip above the top of the boots. Given the light rain and wet grass along the trail I could have expected some moisture to seep into the boots. That did not happen. Good purchase.

Received these gaiters in a timely manner and the quality and appearance is good. They fit well over my ankle socks. The durability so far is outstanding. I not only use them for working out but also when I am doing yard work. Their versatility for yard work is great. No grass clippings in my shoes. My socks don't get dirty. The gaiters cover the opening of my shoe covering my socks. The gaiter attaches well on my laces and velcro heel part of my show. I do wear Altra Trail shoes so that is another reason why the gaiters fit well. Highly recommend to keep debris from entering your shoes.

Used in a through hike recently. Worked great. The top hole you have to put your foot through could be a little stretchier. I felt like I was going to tear it a few times.

I was concerned that the patch of velcro wasn't going to stick on my Hoka boots but so far they are holding up great. The gaiters keep the grass/weeds/dirt out of the boots and that's all I could ask for. The nice thing is that I'm not having my pants legs coming out like some other gaitors I've tried. The only negative is that you have to put them on before your boots but that's not a show stopper for my uses.

These are a game changer when it comes to trail running. I have Altra trail running boots (that I LOVE) and half way through the summer I bought these bad boys and have been in love ever since. Nothing gets in my shoes and drives me nuts while I run. Dirt still finds its way in there but just dusty dirt. No rocky dirt or objects you would notice. 10/10

These gators made a difference on a recent week-long hike through a rainy national park. They were comfortable and easy to add and remove as needed. They covered the necessary shoe area well.

These work ok, but the stitching popped on one of them on the very first use. I wasn't very impressed.

If you hike anywhere off of the pavement, these are for you! Super easy to use and no more stopping every 10 minutes to pull rocks out of your shoe. We wore them all summer and both my husband and myself are very happy with them.

Super comfortable, eqsy to use and great to not get dirt, rocks etc. inside my shoes.

Brilliant. Bought them to walk the Fisherman’s trail in Portugal walking in sand dunes. Minimal sand at the end of 20+km walks and not having to stop to empty sand out at any time. Highly recommend
