Out of these chaotic sessions came the "Whole Lotta Love," which was finished in New York with Hendrix engineer Eddie Kramer helping create the psychedelic middle part, as well as "The Lemon Song," which was cut live in the studio. Page worked feverishly with Kramer to mix the LP on a primitive 12-channel Altec board in a two-day span. Fans will also learn the genesis of their lyrics, the inspiration for their album covers, the instruments used, and the contributions of engineers such as Andy Johns, who helped create the iconic drum sound on "When the Levee Breaks" by recording Bonham at the bottom of a stairwell. Review: Very informative - Contains many details that I didn't know before .. very happy with the book.. definitely worth the money . . Review: Not accurate - Good read but contents are not accurate enough, hence not fully authentic. Author even includes some of the rumours/stories stating "true or not" (offstage incidents etc.) in the initial few pages (about 100 pages contains band's background story & the rest has the songs). Bonzo's portrayal is not good, honestly we as Zep fans do know that he drank too much but he wasn't as rowdy as the book depicts (read Mick Bonham's books about John Bonham if you want to read something authentic). Authentic or not, it still kinda feels good to read about all the songs in detail (some production stuff & how it came to be etc.), but then one should keep in mind that it is not accurate or fully verified (got many errors). Has good number of good quality pictures. The book itself is quite heavy.
