I run a run club with children. We have tried many solutions in years past to let drivers know they were entering an area where we would be running. This guy is the perfect solution. It was easy to put together. I was worried about assembly since I had seen a number of reviews stating its difficulty in assembly, but I did not find that to be an issue, at all. This is large and visible enough, thanks to the color choices, to be easily seen. This guy is light weight and easy to move around when needed. I have not used sand nor water in the base and I haven't found a need to, yet. I'm sure on a windy day we might find ourselves needing to add something in to the base for stability, but so far that's not been necessary. Overall, I find this guy to be great! I simply added a laminated note to him that states "Run Club in Progress" and drivers are more aware of the situation they are driving upon. He was easy to assemble and light weight for moving about. This is finally the solution that perfectly meets our needs and I am very pleased.

I really like this and am glad I bought this, although I think it's pretty sad that I've had to in the first place. After talking to my HOA President about what we can do to try and stop the drivers who fly down our roads, he basically said it's up to the police department to install any stop signs or speed bumps and suggested I buy one of these to put out when the neighborhood kids are outside playing. Whenever my kids go outside, I place this at the front of my driveway and I've noticed it helps a LOT (yes, we still get the occasional a-hole who is driving way too fast) but I'd say 90% of the cars that are entering the neighborhood slow down. It's a very obvious thing to notice when you're driving, it really sticks out and grabs your attention (how can it not, esp. with the flag?) The base of it needs to be filled with either water or sand so that it won't blow over. I have mine filled with water and it holds up great! Trust me, if you have a problem with a-hole drivers who insist on speeding through a neighborhood, definitely buy these, they really do help.

My 4 year old daughter is learning to ride her bike. Although we live on a quiet street, people still drive faster than they should. I put this little man in the middle of the street so the cars have to slow down to drive past it. The other day, 2 cars were coming down the street from opposite directions. I yelled CAR and my daughter (who is a good listener) immediately got up on the sidewalk. One car passed by and apparently my daughter didn't realize there was a second. She jumped off the curb in front of our neighbor's parked SUV. The second car was just about to pass the SUV and was driving very slowly. I immediately screamed STOP, my daughter stopped and all was ok. The people who were driving the second car, told me they were driving extra slow because they saw this little plastic man. In addition to being effective, it's easy to put together and carry in and out of our garage. It's also weighted so doesn't blow over. In my opinion, this thing is worth it's weight in gold!

This product met most of my expectations, and serves it's purpose well. My husband had to snap the main part into the base. I definitely did not have enough strength to do that! Everything else was easy to put together. The plastic is light enough for my two year old to drag it into the driveway when he wants to play, but that means a good gust of wind will knock it over as well, so we frequently have to set it back up. The base can be filled with water or cement, though if that's a big problem. I did have to contact Wayfair because the "Slow" sticker that was supposed to be included was not in the box. Fortunately they responded to my e-mail right away and sent me a replacement. Overall a good product, and better than the other options I looked into.

We have a half circle driveway in our front yard and use one of these at each end. We see a dramatic decrease in drivers' speed as they pass our house. With my son and his friends riding their bikes or drawing in the drive with chalk, etc it's nice to sit and watch without worrying that people are going by like a bat out of heck. We've even had drivers wave as they go by and give a "thumbs up" indicating they appreciate the little kid alerts. They are heavy enough that they won't tip over so we've never needed to fill them with sand or water to weigh them down. But they're also light enough so you can easily carry one in each hand.

We bought three of these for our street as our daughter is new to bike riding. We live on a straight street that's supposed to be 25mph, but because it's a straightaway, drivers seem to go much faster on it. These signs seem to really grab drivers attention and cause them to slow down. At least the drivers now seem to be aware that kids are out and about in the area. We are going to buy a few more. Several neighbors have stopped to say thanks for buying them and putting them out. I hope they keep our child and our neighbors kids a bit safer. So far so good!

We purchased this because people come flying around the corner onto our street. It works great, we stick it right at the corner of our block and people can clearly see the flag and neon green guy, and they totally slow down and look for kids. Works just like i was hoping for. So fare it's pretty durable too. My kids actually love putting it out when the go and play because they feel safer with it too. They have even noticed the difference. I highly recommended getting one of these. The only problem is if you forget to put it back in and the kids arent out playing, the neihbors get a little annoyed with that, understandably.

I don't personally think others should review this item as a 1-star because it got ran over, because some cars are just going to be reckless no matter what is in the street. Since we bought this and put it out, we notice about 95% of the cars slow down and most slow down to extremely slow speeds (very appreciated). Our daughter knows she can't go out to play until we put out "Sammie" the turtle. It can be used as an educational tool to help them understood the importance of street-play. When factoring in the extra protection for your child, you can't complain at all for the low price of this V.W.S. Other signs we looked at were too flimsy or not worth the price at all. Note: I see many parents put this sign out and then feel comfortable just leaving their child(ren) outside to play by themselves. This doesn't give you an excuse to be a lazy parent; it simply provides extra protection in addition to ADULT SUPERVISION. Be smart, people.. In short: Great protection and educational tool at an affordable price!

Habe nur ungern soviel Geld fuer 2 Warnzeichen ausgegeben (bei Amazon.com kosten sie nur knappe $35 pro Stueck). Selber hersteller. Leider werden sie nicht nach Deutschland geschickt. Naja, unser Haus liegt direkt hinter einer Kurve in einer ruhigen Nachbarschaft aber Leute denken trozdem hier mit 50 Sachen durchrasen zu muessen. Die finanzielle investition fuer 2 Maennchen hat sich gelohnt. Autos fahren deutlich langsamer um die Ecke und mir giebt es ein sicheres Gefuehl wenn meine Kinder mit Roller oder Fahrrad vor der Tuer spielen. Sehr Gute qualitaet. Die werden Jahre halten :D
