Petmate Aspen Pet Self Warming Round Bed, 19.5 Inches, Barn Red and Cream

I decided to buy a new cat bed for my 10 year old cat for Christmas and came upon this one. I wanted a good-quality bed without spending too much money. This one had great reviews and a really good price tag so I ordered it. When it arrived, I gave it to my cat right away. At first she didn't seem too interested and gravitated to her other bed which I just moved into our bedroom. Then, after a day or two, she could be found snuggling happily into her new bed and she spends most of her sleeping and napping hours in this bed. One of the big reasons why I was drawn to this bed is the fact that it is self-warming and, since my cat is starting to get a little older and tends to spend most of her time seeking out warm places where she is either laying in direct sunlight or on top of the counter when the dishwasher is on its drying cycle, I wanted her to have a warmer bed. I love the fact that it doesn't use electricity like an electric blanket or heating pad. Instead it utilizes material that reflects the cat's own body heat to keep them warmer. When my cat's laying in her bed, I have felt underneath her and it's nice and warm but not so hot that it's concerning so I feel safe with her using it. The bed is also incredibly soft, plushy and made of polyester fibers. The outside of the bed feels velvety-soft and the inside is so comfortable for my cat that I don't need to put a blanket in her bed. I purchased the "Warm Spice With Creme" color and it is a beautiful color. The red is almost like a burgundy and the creme is an off-white color. My cat is right around 10 pounds and she fits very comfortably in this bed with lots of room to spare so cats who are larger should have no problem fitting in the bed. This cat bed was a great purchase for us and my cat loves it. She spends almost all of her sleeping time in it and we are very happy with how much she loves the bed. The quality is great, the price was excellent, and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another of these beds in the future. I highly recommend this bed to keep your kitty warm and cuddly!

My cats love this bed. The sides are high enough for them to keep their whole head below the rim when they curl into a ball. A note for people with big cats, my larger (15/16 pound) cats are a bit too long/big so I don’t see them in this as frequently as the 10/12 pound cats. The quality of the bed is good and I appreciate how soft it is for my older kitty’s joints.

I like that this is a self warming pet bed. Our cats enjoy sleeping in this in a cooler room in the house. It is washable and has thick cushioning.

This is a well-made product and as the temperature dips into the teens, our little Yorkie is spending much of his time in this warm and cushy bed. The only disadvantage to this is that because it is so extremely well padded, I was very disappointed that the lining or cover was not removable and I think it’s going to be a nightmare to wash and actually get the inner layers dry.

After a few searches for a pillow for my cat, he FINALLY found one that he likes and will stay on. Previously, I bought a fuzzy & soft cat couch for him and he did not want anything to do with it. But as soon as this one arrived and we put it out for him, he went over with some hesitation, sniffed it, and slowly made his way over. As soon as he went inside the pillow, that was it. He made himself comfy and stayed for hours. The pillow itself is big enough for what we were looking for ( still has plenty of room left), love the red color, very soft inside and out; so far it’s holding up after a few days. The padding inside the bed is very soft and he loves kneading on it before going to sleep. Can’t comment on how it is after washing since it has not been in the washer yet. As a side note: Before this pillow bed, the cat would go and take over our dog’s crate, leaving our poor dog to sleep/ hangout on our wood floor :( Now that he has his own bed, he no longer goes over to our dog’s crate to sleep in it. I would say that he LOVES his bed and it’s a Win Win for all of us!

I originally bought some of these beds back in 2014, so I've had several for 6 years now. They're great beds. I had 4 cats at the time, sadly down to two 17 year olds now, so they've gotten a ton of daily use. They've definitely stood up to the test of time and I haven't had any issues with the original ones I purchased. The materials are thick and durable, even the thin lining on the bottom has never gotten torn. They clean up just fine in the washer. I do turn them inside out though so the nooks and crannies get clean, and I scoop out any hair that's collected in those corners before washing it. If you do a no heat tumble/air dry for hours the dryer will get most of the hair off. We live in Alaska so we keep the house colder in the winter than others probably do. The cats have these self warming beds and actual electronic heated beds. They split their time among the two types of beds, so I think these are good enough to compete with the heated beds. They also sleep in these beds all summer. I think they help to regulate their body heat when it's warmer, I never see them avoiding these beds in the summer. When our dog was a puppy she used these beds too, until she got too big for them. The round bed and the 20x24 rectangular bed are perfect for one cat/small dog. Two cats can fit in the 20x24 if they really like each other. The 30x24 bed is a roomy option for two cats, there's probably room for a third cat. I've never tried the pillow bed version as my cats like the sides on the bed. I just purchased 4 more beds, so that they can sleep in more places. I didn't even consider buying a different type of bed, these ones have been perfect!

My cats LOVE these beds and some of them won’t usually sleep in a pet bed. I purchased 3 so far. Will be getting more lol. These are good quality and they’re warm for colder months! (Self warming)

The Pet Mate 19-inch Cat Bed is attractive, cosy, and warm, both our cats love them and use them every day. They have polyester fiber filling inside which insulates against cold surfaces that they might be on. 48cm or 19-inch diameter is adequate for most cats. Our larger male cat is 5.2kg and the bed is large enough. The Pet Mate is good quality, machine wash on cool, delicate wash. It is all polyester material. I highly recommend them and would buy them again if our ones got too worn out. We will probably get a third one, so our cats have somewhere else that is really nice to lay, in when in the outside conservatory.
