My kids love this game. This si the second one we have bought and we can play it all night! They have no idea that this was really the style when I was growing up. They laugh so hard, we ever started recording some of the comments. Family friendly, easy to understand, great value for the money and love the expansion. So much fun!

I wasn’t sure what to expect with The Good News Is…, but it quickly became a favorite in our house. The gameplay is simple to pick up, which made it perfect for our family game night. Everyone, from my 10-year-old niece to my dad who usually hates playing games, was laughing by the second round. What I like most is how different every game feels. You start with a positive headline or situation, and then things spiral into the most ridiculous bad news scenarios. It’s a mix of creativity and comedy that somehow works every time. The 33-second timer keeps the energy high and makes it impossible to overthink your answers, which is great because the funniest responses usually come out under pressure. We’ve played this with just four people and also with a group of eight, and it worked well both ways. It’s quick, fun, and doesn’t require hours of explaining rules before you can start having fun. If you’re looking for a game that’s equal parts clever and chaotic and actually makes people put their phones down, this is it. Highly recommend for families, friends, or even as a party icebreaker. It’s become one of those games we end up reaching for over and over again.

The Family photos are funny but the “movie” cards you need to put down as a saying for the picture are weird. We had fun playing it but it’s not our favorite.

This is just like all the other party card games out there where you submit your best match and someone picks the one they like the best...but with 80's flair. It is definitely more family friendly and less vulgar than some of the other popular card games, with that being said there are a couple of cards with profanity (they are movie quotes). Is fun remembering what the captions are from (even my teenager recognized some) and the pictures are totally 80's - I'm sure I could go through old family photos and find some that would fit in well :) Overall, we enjoyed playing it.
