DON'T BUY!!! READ BEFORE!!! (ASTRO A50's 100%)
Now I know my tech and when I say don't buy you better listen and save yourselves alot of trouble because I bought into the crap they're trying to sell us now.. This headset has terrible chat quality on the PS4 with the 3.5mm jack and aslo on the PC with bluetooth.. On the PS4 you can't adjust the volume of the chat and on skype the sound is horrible with bluetooth.. I also picked up radio signals randomly hearing music in my headset consistently.. This headset is not completely wireless because of the cable you have to use to chat on the PS4.. Product seemed defective or maybe they're just that bad.. Game sound was really good no problems there.. I returned them about a week ago for a full refund and bought a pair of Astro A50's refurb ($199.99) and I will never buy another gaming headset as long as I live.. For $50 more these are flawless in every way, comfort, style, sound quality and the best part is it's completely wireless and PC chat on skype is crystal clear and you can play music from your pc or phone wireless into the headphones.. Cheaper is not always better and if you are low on cash just use a pair of Beats or other headphones and plug it into your PS4 controller and you get surround sound and it sounds pretty damn good to my surprise..

Not worth your time, money or un-ending frustration
Got this headset in November with the release of the PS4. Like many, I wasn't too happy with the idea of having to plug the headset into the controller but based on industry talk, it was clear Sony intended on fixing the bluetooth situation fairly quickly. In the course of having the headset, I've been happy with the sound and the mic and over all fit of the headset. I've rated it one star for the mere reason that the headset has stopped working. When I plug in the chat cable, I can not hear my party....but I hear the game. So basically, I have two option, chat and not hear my party...or hear my party and not be able to communicate back. I've gone through all the trouble shooting, I've re-connected, etc. and nothing....I've contacted their customer support, but have not heard back from them. UPDATE: February 2014. Sony has released their recent patch (1.6) which was supposed to address headsets....Sony was gracious enough to enable their headsets to work, but have completely blundered it for turtle beach because now my headset doesn't work AT ALL....again, I've re-connected...and configured it per their instructions, but nothing at this point the headset won't even play game sound.

Don't waste your money!!!!!!
First, let me start by saying that I had very high expectations for this headset. Turtle Beach advertised this headset prior to its release as a multi-platform headset with Bluetooth capability. When the headset arrived, I was very pleased. The presentation was nice, materials felt sturdy and well built. It didn't appear to be cheaply made. I first set it up with my brand new PS4. Oops, the wireless mic doesn't work. You have to plug in a cable to the controller because they developed the technology without testing it first. Then, I tried to use it for my Xbox 360. It didn't surprise me that I needed a cable as the 360 is old and it's Microsoft. However, once I plugged it in and tried to play online with some friends, I quickly learned that there is NO functioning chat volume control. You can control how loud your voice is in the headset and how loud the game volume is. But they did not include any mechanism for controlling chat volume, and apparently the default volume is set to 11 out of 10. I nearly blew my ear drums out when I was testing it. The chat volume functions on the side of the headphone are only for bluetooth, and have nothing to do with in game volume. This product fails on every aspect that it was advertised for. Can you plug it in and hear game content on PS4 and XBOX, sure. Can you adjust chat volume or use the wireless microphone to chat on PS4 or XBOX, nope. Useless.

Barely functional for the PS4
This product does not work as advertised whatsoever. First of all, this is the most cables I've ever dealt with for a "wireless" headset". There is a bluetooth hub that comes with the headset that needs to be plugged into both USB and optical output to the PS4. Then the headset needs to be plugged into the controller in order for the PS4 to even recognize a headset (Doesn't connect via bluetooth). But if you plug the headset into the PS4 controller the dolby digital 5.1 turns off! So you're either stuck with a wireless headset with dolby digital 5.1 sound and a non-functioning mic or a wired headset (plugged into the controller) with horrible quality stereo sound with a functional mic. And if you to make all the sound go to the headset from the PS4 menus the sound still comes from the TV as well. It is laughable that this product is advertised to work for the PS4.

Horrible Headset
I was expecting this headset to run smoothy. I picked up the PX4 because my friend recommenced it, and it was the only headset that worked with the PS4, or so the package says. From day 1 there have been nothing but issues, mainly the audio. It cuts out every second. It became an annoyance. At first I thought it was my router but that wasn't it. I had a strong signal, so I crossed that out. The only possible thing left was the headset. I tried everything to fix it, but nothing worked. And another quick thing. None of the buttons work at all. Can't change the volume, mute doesn't work. It's really a waste of money. I suggest avoiding this headset until better ones come out. But hopefully some kind of patch will fix all the issues.

I have used these for a couple of months now after buying them for Battlefield 4 on the PS4 and I love them. The surround sound works very well in FPS games (tried on BF4 and CoD AW). I know people have said that they can hear footsteps creeping up on them etc and you can but more so in CoD where there is a fraction of the stuff going on compared to BF4. In BF4 you have vehicle sounds and gunfire which more often than not (and rightly so) drowns out the sound of someone coming up behind you. Pros: Comfort - can wear them for hours and barely know that they're there. Audio quality - For gaming, they're incredible. They haven't turned me into a one man radar but the surround sound is pretty spot on. Mic - I love that it's detachable and the PS4 auto detects when you plug the mic into the headset. Controls - quite a few adjustments can be made. Surround sound field, bass, explosion dampening mic volume etc. Construction - These feel well made and built to last. Not sure what others are doing to theirs but I see no problems so far. Battery life - I haven't timed how long they last or if it's up to the manufacturer's claims but it's pretty damn good. Connection - Generally they just work flawlessly. It has dropped a few times and I'm not sure quite why but it comes back by itself after 20-30 seconds. No piece of tech is perfect 100% of the time. Cons: Ok, they're not truly wireless on the PS4 because you have to connect the headset to your PS4 controller. Not really worth knocking off a star though. The worst point for me was the sound field setup - the thing that determines the angles of the sound so that you can hear stuff going on in front of you and around you accurately. Maybe I'm just being slow but all the other controls like bass level and explosion dampener have say 4 levels and a corresponding number of beeps. Simple. But the sound field one uses a sequence of flashing lights on the front of the bluetooth dongle unit that plugs into the PS4. I feel that could have done with a diagram or something. I figured it out by trial and error.
