good ghost reader
great product! my favorite YouTuber uses this ghost reader and it is so fun to use even if itโs not really ghosts. if you -are- ghost hunting, be sure to use completely away from electronics to avoid false reads. like other reviews, i do wish the meter was lit for nighttime ghost hunts but a flashlight works fine. good size and easy to carry. battery life is great with the right batteries. so far decent accuracy!

Astonishing Results!!!
I just received The Ghost Meter last week and upon the 2nd day I re-visited a home that was having some very strange activity. Earlier this summer, I was a guest in this home and sometime around midnight one evening, my friend and I heard a rather loud noise coming from the kitchen of the early 1900's home. We rushed out to see what it was and we found the coffee maker running with nothing in it--no coffee grounds and no water. It was plugged in, however, and came on by itself--or did it??? My friend then showed me an app on his iphone called "Ghost Radar" and I was quite intrigued. One of the words that came up on this program was "Florida", I then jokingly said to my friend--"maybe he read my license plate on my vehicle as I am from Florida. The next word spoken was "perhaps". At this point I was taken by surprise and wondered if there were actually such things as ghosts. All of us at one time or another have experienced strange and unexplainable occurrences during our lifetime, and this was certainly one of them. A couple of months later, I was watching one of the ghost hunter programs on tv, but being somewhat skeptical at the same time, I saw The Ghost Meter being used. I said to my wife, maybe there is more to this "ghost chasing" hobby that so many are obsessed with lately. I ordered The Ghost Meter immediately and re-visited this home the next day for 3 nights total. Each night after all were in bed, I pulled out this Ghost meter, turned down the volume totally so as not to disturb anyone and went on a "ghost hunt". Let me first point out that only strong EMF's will make this meter go off, or you must be very near an electronic or electrical source to activate it. I then opened the kitchen/basement door and proceed down four steps of the 1st landing of the "wooden basement stairs". Suddenly, the Ghost Meter lit up wildly while being placed center point between 2 walls three feet apart! I then went down the second set of "wooden stairs" to the basement and waved this meter everywhere I could. There were no further readings since the 1st reading at the top of the stairs, until I approaced a doll house. There, the meter lit up from the basement floor to approximately 3 feet high and stopped. I then continued toward another area where there were childrens toys and got a similar reading in a corner wall area. On the second night, I repeated the entire scan with the meter and got no readings at all in any of those areas until I returned to the stairwell and got readings at a very low point to the steps themselves. As the stairs are exposed underneath, I scanned under them as well (putting the meter right up to the backside of the steps) and got nothing! WOW, this was so strange. As I returned to the stairwell and scanned the steps (topside of steps) I again was getting readings low to the steps themselves. Then, upon reaching the top of the steps by the kitchen door, I was getting a reading against one of the walls. This wall has a closet behind it so I scanned inside of this closet (up to that very wall) and nothing! On the 3rd night, I again repeated the same scan and got a hit near the dollhouse again, but also in another area of the toy room that did not set off the meter in my 2 previous scans. I then went back to the top of the stairs and was getting all sorts of readings, and, in particular, I scanned a reading that stood at least 6 feet tall on the top of the stairs. The day that we were leaving, I quietly scanned the stairs again, and as I was scanning, I kept saying under my breath--"What is it??? What's causing these readings? I then turned back around to an area that I had just scanned, scanned it again--it was gone! No reading. There are no electrical wires, panels or appliances in any of the areas that would affect the meter in any way. I tried my very best to prove that these readings were being caused by items or electrical currents in the household--I could not! When we left this house, we proceded to another home that has also had strange activity. I scanned the entire home several times (before nighttime, however) and turned up absolutely nothing. Only the refrigerator from the kitchen with it's back up against one wall of the bedroom (the wall separates the bedroom and the kitchen). You may draw your own conclusions about my article, or you may dismiss it as all hogwash. I only know what my conclusion is thanks to the Ghost Meter. And, even if you do not wish to hunt spirits, it's a great tool for checking EMF's around your home. I'am glad I bought it! Good luck and happy hunting!

Pretty good, reliable and easy to use.
This is a great meter, the battery life depends upon what brand you put in it (9v) but isn't overly power consumping. It is very easy to use and functions perfectly. I love the alerts and volume adjustment, it's got a cool design having a translucent casing. Although the indicator light that alerts to activity is bright, it's hard to see the needle moving in the dark as the display doesn't have a backlight and the needle doesn't glow. It's the only downside imo.

Interesting
First off, ... I am a believer. As a ED nurse for 25+ years I have never HEARD anything out of the ordinary and I have a strong sense of commitment to a honest and accurate veiw of reality. No BS. However, that said, ... I have seen ,sensed events that, in my limited view have 0 explanation in our limited realm of logical explanation. According to very basic laws of physics, events that could not possibly manifest or remotely occur, ever. I obtained this out of curiosity. Have tried it out, middle of the day, after multiple protection prayers were said, and repeated. I have many very old items. From furniture of a deceased friend or relative. To a 50 caliber shell casing from Baston era. WWII. Nothing occurred when this devise was passed over them. I use rare earth magnets for a hobby I am involved with. There was a strong response over them. That, was expected. I am going to re run my exact path tonight, between 0000-0300. I will be writing this information up after I do. Later: Follow up: I said my protective prayers several times , and redid my first steps,as above, to a tee. Even passing the " EMF' ER over a WWII airmans cap, that is the real deal. Results= NADA..... Still happy with my curiosity acquired item. It is funny. However, no reading no spike , unless I passed over one of the rare earth magnets. Then it goes wild. Again to be expected. Oh, as a side note it remained at nada readings when passed over a regular ferrous magnet . So in conclusion, if you are up for a bit of mechvious fun, make sure the magnets that you plant around are the real deal... rare earth magnets only. This item really is spot on, for hilarious pranks and Halloween ๐ fun. BOO...๐ป ๐ป

Useful, but be careful.
I bought two. Overall I'm happy with the purchase, but take that with a grain of salt (I'll explain later). I have had it go off in situations where I felt a ghost could have been present and there were no electronic devices close enough to give a false positive, but I'm careful to say it definitely detects ghosts whthout more data. It definitely detects EMF though. It goes off around the microwave, power lines, cell phones that are in use (or "checking in" with a cell tower), fans, etc. The construction is questionable, which is why I only gave it three stars. I know electronics, so I took one apart to modify it. Looks like most components were soldered in by machine and those connections look fine. The speaker seems to be soldered in by hand, not so great, took almost no pressure or movement to pull off one of the wires. That does not happen with proper soldering. For me it's worth a gamble because I can easily fix it if something breaks. If you baby the thing, it will probably last. Just don't drop it. Pros: - Simple yet effective, - Cheapest, functional meter I could find on Amazon that didn't have poor reviews, - Can also be used to detect things like radio waves, cell phones, electricity, leaked EMF from microwave ovens, etc. - Excellent battery life even while it's turned on, - Analog meter (moving needle), so subtle changes in EMF can be more easily seen, - Three forms of detection... 1. The needle. 2. Red LEDs that blink once the needle gets to a higher level. Blinking speed changes depending on EMF level. 3. Sound with volume control. Cons: - Lights are very bright, no way to adjust, but okay with some medical tape (or similar) over them, - Needle area not well lit, but power LED can help this by placing finger/ thumb over LED or using medical tape, - Not the best construction.

A very good buy!
I purchased the Ghost Meter to test for electrical radiation (EMf) hotspots in my home, and I am absolutely delighted with the purchase. I am rating the Ghost Meter with 5 stars because it fulfills all of my needs and at an unbeatable price! PROS: (1) The case is made of clear plastic which allows me to see any developing corrosion or battery leaks, and it appears to be quite durable with a solid feel to it. (2) It is equiped with a constant Push On/Push Off button. (3) It is equiped with a dial meter with a sweep hand and scale that measures from 0-5 milligaus: 0-1 milligaus (Green), 1-2 milliguas (Yellow), 2-5 milligaus (Red). (4) There is an alarm feature with twin flashing red lights and audible "beeps" when readings are in the 2-5 milligaus Red range. These signals go faster as the readings go higher. (5) There is a recessed thumb-wheel volume control to lower or turn off the audio "beep" alert. CONS: (1) My unit did not come with user's instructions. So, it took me trial and error before I finally figured out that the thumb wheel was used for volume control of the alert signal. (2) I am not into Ghost hunting; therefore, a brief explanation about the significance of the milligaus readings in the Red range (danger) would have lent more validation to the unit. (3) The meter scale is not illuminated so an additional light source is needed if exact milligaus readings from the meter's scale is required in the dark. USAGE: I found EMF hot spots at my computer station (5 milligaus at 12 inches away, 1 milligaus at 3ft. away) and at my flourescent worklight with magnifying glass (5+ milligaus at 3 inches away. That's how close I've had my face to it while peering through the magnifier for hours at a time! Yikes!) The usual EMF reading in my home is 0-1 milligaus; however, during peak usage hours (5-10PM) the readings go up to 3-4 milligaus! This is due to the high voltage power lines that run past my home about 100 ft. away--that was definitely a surprise and something that requires some research. THE NEXT TEST: My precious grandchildren's cell phones--Oh my goodness! I am glad to have this meter.

Very good EMF sensor
The look of this product, does not seem very professional actually, but this works very very well. I live nearby places which have a lot of paranormal activites, most of them related to the magnetic center of the world, and many of them observed in hotels and inns built upon ancient ruins. Since I bought this sensor, I've traveled to all places I could known for paranormal activities, and this have proved to be a reliable source for EMF changes. One can't rely in one device only, because this does its best: locate the source. I have audio captured and pictured many paranormal activities, I have even interact once, with the help of this sensor. I am looking for more oportunities for capturing, and I'm sure this sensor will help me on the way. If this product eventually brokes or won't work, I won't buy it again. Not because its useful, but, because it did what it could: Helped me discover that paranormal activity exist and can be captured. I will be interested in having more professional equipment with many more capturing systems, not only EMF sensor. This is a very recommended product for entering the world of paranormal activities and its very reliable!!
