I found this pen while cleaning the junk out of a drawer. It was nice to be able to use the pen again. At one time it was my favorate.

Have this very nice Sheaffer ballpoint, given to me as a gift and it ran dry 2 years ago. Most of my writing is now done on a keyboard, but I always missed using my favorite pen. Could never find the correct refill, until I located this one on Amazon. It was affordable, the perfect fit and writes as smoothly as the original. My favorite writing instrument is back.

Many years ago, when I graduated from college, I was gifted a heavy black and gold Schaefer Pen from one of my old professors--who had become a dear friend as he gently guided me into a career in higher education. He passed shortly after that day and I have come to cherish the pen, thinking of him and his fidelity to his students, each time that I use it.

Shaefer makes very good pens. Hope they were as good with their refills too. What is the point of owning an expensive pen that doesn’t give you a good writing experience. It just works sporadically. Stops in the middle of the writing and starts running dry. Give it a shake and it starts working again. And the cycle repeats.
