Terrific Trains (Amazing Machines)

This is my two year old son's favorite book of this series. Every night he wants to read "Tractor Trucks" (Tremendous Tractors and Terrific Trucks, which are other books in this series), but he always wants to finish out with "Trains." I seriously read this every single night. The rhyme is cute, and my kids love the pacing of the stories. Easy read before bed. If your kids love trains, get this book and you will not be disappointed. Everything in this series is pretty solid.

My son is straight-up obsessed with this book. I’m not sure if he prefers this over High-Flying Helicopters or vice versa, but... he simply loves it. He’s 2.75 and knows all of the lines by heart as well as the details in each picture. All of the trains are slightly different which allows for a lot of discussion and language development. It’s a winner in our household!

We have a lot of the books in this series now and my son would love to have them all. Unlike other "franchise" type series, each one of these books is as creative and fun as the last... there's not one that my son doesn't like. He's three now and does prefer longer stories, but they're really good filler books that he never turns down, and I really enjoy reading them as the rhymes and images are a lot of fun. There's also a very cool glossary at the end that gives insight into what the parts of the vehicle are and what they do, that might actually be the most fun for my little guy. Really love this entire series, we've had a lot of fun with them!

The rhymes and illustrations are great for keeping my 3 year-old's attention, and I just love these characters! We have several in this series, though I'm not sure why some are hard to find (Super Submarines, for instance). Anyway, this one and all the others I have are cute, educational, and fun to read, even for the 50th time or more.

This is a cute book and my 3 year old grandson loves it because he's excited about anything regarding trains. The edges of the book were bent when I received it and it didn't look new - otherwise I would give this book 5 stars.

Bought this for my 3 year old grandson, who loves trains. It says paperback, but the pages are thick and coated - making it very sturdy! He loves the rhyming story and the drawings, although he is getting to the point that he likes more realistic trains. I'd think this book would be GREAT for a 2 year old. No doubt we'll be reading it again and again. And for less than $4, it's a good value.

Great author and illustrations. My family loves this series of book. My 3 year old son especially loves Terrific Trains!

My daughter couldn't afford to buy my grand kids books and they love reading. I am not able to do a lot of "extra spending" either but want the children to love books like I do and have the opportunity to have some. I was so glad to find these and at such a wonderful price. I was able to get the kids each several books of their own and they were so glad to get them to! Go Nanny!!! I will be buying some more for them too!!
