Pull Up Assistance Bands for Working Out - Resistance Bands Set for Men, Exercise, Workout, Fitness, Strength, Weightlifting, Training, Powerlifting, Stretch, Crossfit WOD

Started looking into resistance bands as a viable alternative to weights due to the pandemic closing down gyms and no availability of free weights. Found James Grage on YouTube and I was convinced to give resistance bands a shot. I didn't purchase his brand of Under sun resistance bands because they were more expensive and didn't care for the orange color. I found these 5 shades of baby poop green more my style. I use these in conjunction with a set of 3 mini H1 Anchor Gym wall anchors and just about everything I used to do in the gym I can replicate here. Don't bother with a door anchor if you are going to train with heavier bands because you will ruin your door frame over time. I use the 3 lighter bands the most and the heaviest band is great for pull up assistance. You can combine a couple of bands for more versatility and it's more than enough resistance to keep yourself in shape. On a side note I started using these while recovering from 3 herniated disc and it was the safest way for me to train because I didn't have to move any 45lb plates around. I only put strain on my back when doing overhead presses as all other exercises you can do while standing and pushing or pulling away from yourself. There's no wear and tear on your joints from pushing a heavy weight up in the air and then letting it drop to your side and it pulling down on your shoulder joint abruptly. You also get the added benefit of increased core strength because you have to engage your core to push forward when you don't have a bench to support your back. I don't focus on how much "weight" I'm lifting I just go by feel. So if that matters to you then resistance bands might be frustrating for you. But they are effective at building muscle. I am 5'9 and was 215 lbs before I started using these and after 7 months of use I am almost 230 lbs. These have held up well so far and have had no issues with bands tearing or losing elasticity. I also had a set of cheaper resistance bands and do prefer the feel of these. I also tried a few bands from Clench fitness and found those a little nicer but also more expensive. Bottom line if you want to give resistance bands a shot these will work great.

Great quality, worth the extra money. Bought them for pull up assitance for the Jayflex Cross Grips pull up system and they're both sturdy and fully stretch to the floor for pull up support. I highly recommend for this purpose and general exercise usage.

I'm in my 40s and have been lifting weights since I was 16; however, this past year some of my joints are starting to hurt so I heard about and looked into Variable Resistance Training with the use of heavy bands that can provide heavy weights. It's a whole new type of workout, that I've learned, is highly effective. These bands allow you to workout any muscle group you want; they're very durable, effective, and are exactly what is advertised by this company. If you're still trying to decide between this company and one with a lower price, allow me to help. I started off with cheaper bands, and they weren't as stable, and effective in the increase in weight, so I finally ended up here. It'll end up being cheaper for you to just go with these guys right from the start, and you won't regret it. Also, a couple tips: heavy resistance band training is very different than weights, since the weight increases as you reach the strongest point during each lift. Allow yourself to adjust to this and give it a week or two before you form an opinion, and it helps if with each set, you max out on the reps until total exhaustion, because there is where you will truly be able to determine the effectiveness of VRT the next day and workout session. It will exhausting for the muscles, in a good way, and soft on the joints. I had some joint pains that have been lingering for almost a year now, and after just one week of using these bands, the pains have left, but I'm still exhausting the muscles. It's nice to be pain free again. Oh, and wear gloves. ANY resistance band, as it flexes and moves within your hands will hurt after a bit. It just gets abrasive. Wearing full-fingered gloves will prevent this.

So I been trying to figure out if really wanted pull up bands to try for exercising since I do not like the ones with handles just didn’t agree with my wrists and I can say these are a go for me. I saw amazing reviews on this versus the other big brand that is all over YouTube for bodybuilding.com fitness expert and figured I’d try these out for my morning exercising before work and then use the gym on my way home. I love the fact that these started in the 20lbs-35lbs range instead of in lower lbs that are useless for me and go up to 150lbs that my bodybuilding fiancé can use as well when the gym closes early or we are snowed in. I cannot be any happier with these that I already want a second set to gift to someone or save for future purposes. These are easy to use, easy to carry as it came with a travel bag for them plus a sweat towel with a sick logo on it and some stickers and a card with their information on it plus how many lbs each color was for identification. Iron fidelity you have a customer for life and as long as quality does not change trust you have someone who will brag about these for sure!! Did I mention regardless it didn’t ship specifically for prime in one to two days that I got these puppies just like prime directly from their warehouse!!? Get these y’all you will not be disappointed! Update 12/22/21 So I have used these bands for almost a year now and they have been extremely useful in home especially because of the pandemic. You can gain muscle from these alone if you’re looking to workout at home and are maybe not an extreme athlete. Only downside sadly to say though my 30-60 lbs band finally gave out and broke during a deadlift move. I take great care of these bands but unfortunately now may have to just use the band tied up from where it broke which gives me limited stretch. All in all I love these bands, just wish this didn’t have to happen since I am getting stronger due to these.

I use these bands for combinations of stretching, functional fitness and to supplement weight-lifting. The bands' versatility allows for an extremely diverse range of exercise and motions that allows me to constantly change up my routines, fine-tune my favorites and keep my body guessing. When stretching, the ands help me target and further open up areas like the hips, groin, etc. Using them to supplement weight-lifting has multiple benefits. This is a crucial way to practice progressive overloading because the bands offer more resistance with more stretch/motion in the workout. Changing the resistance while in the middle of a repetition adds a dynamic element to the way your muscles react to the stress of the lift. I could go on... but I'm just pumped to continue exploring the different ways to take advantage of these bands. The quality is great - not like some knock-off's I've seen around that use cheap material. Very durable. The colors are badass too. The team over at Iron Infidel is top notch, too. They made sure to reach out to me, make sure the product got to me alright and offered to replace them if they got damaged in the shipping process. Great group of people that challenges their community to GET AFTER IT.

I don’t review often. I feel so compelled, proud, and satisfied with this product that I’m writing this review to hopefully help others. First-Out of the box you get a sweat towel, sticker, and of course the bands, inside a black Iron Infidel bag. Packaged perfectly. Arrived in a timely manner, and the bands are high quality. Second. Putting these bands to use is extremely simple. I’m an advanced lifter, used many other bands, settled for the cheap bands sold on amazon. These are on another level. The resistance- perfect. The size- perfect, usefulness -perfect. I read another review that stated these were slippery... not true. I had no trouble with these slipping. In fact, I found that they tend to grip your hand back as you retract from lift unintentionally because of the rubber material. I’m satisfied with this product. Not a single lift I had trouble figuring out. Cons-The only issue I had with these, is the way the resistance is stated versus the feel. The only way to achieve 40# of resistance of first 20# band is to double over. This should be clear as it is a little misleading. For the price, I would also prefer they supplied you 2 handles and 2 clips which they don’t. All in all extremely satisfied!

I had been working out with a mix of dumbbells and an old Bowflex. I bought these on a whim because I heard good things. I love them! They allow me to do a larger variety of exercises to keep things fresh and get more muscle fatigue for my effort than my dumbbells could ever give me. Much quicker and easier to fine tune the resistance to each exercise than I could with adjustable dumbbells and Bowflex. I just change my grip on the band or grab a different band and presto. I always thought resistance bands were for toning and rehabilitation but these ones really get my muscles burning! I can't speak to the durability yet but overall I am very happy with the first impressions. Updating this review now that I have been using them 3-5 times a week for 3 months. They are amazing! I sold my Bowflex because I couldn't find any exercises I needed it for that these bands don't do better. I do 95% of my exercises using these bands and some low, medium and high anchor points. There are still a couple of exercises I prefer to do with dumbbells. There are so many exercise options that I found searching the Internet that I am constantly mixing up my routine to keep from getting bored. As to durability they have held up very well! Another update: I have now had these for over a year. I continue to use them 3-5 times a week and I haven't had any issues with bands breaking or wearing out (I always use a band that has enough resistance to keep the muscles working). I added the Iron Infidel handle and I like to use it for some exercises but a lot I still just do with gloves and the bands. This is the longest I have ever kept with exercising and I have seen amazing results. At 48 I have the body I had at 20 (give or take some looser skin) and I feel great! I have recommended or given these as a gift to several people and they have loved them as much as I have.

Edit on Oct 9, 2020: just wanted to say I've been using these since August with outstanding results. In fact, I even ordered a second set of 5! I'm trying to replicate a 5x5 program as best as I can without free weights and it's honestly going pretty well. This 2nd set should really extend the progress I make before I have to start increasing volume. I love these things. I take them with me when I travel and I look forward to each next workout. Before I started focusing on just the classic lifts, I was just kind of exploring the possibilities these offer and you can pretty much replicate any exercise you do with free weights or machines. Also, the bands I've been using hard for a month and a half hold up identically to the brand new ones I just got it. So there's your versatility and durability. These are your best all around bet for working out. Original review: Just got these in and I've been using them all morning. When I was scrolling through options for heavy resistance bands and I first saw them, I immediately wanted them because they happen to be all my favorite colors and they are very clearly American as $@&#. But I wanted to do my research and make sure I was actually getting the best performance investment that I could find. Folks, there is a reason why these are rated more highly than any other comparable product on Amazon: quality and customer service. Taking them out of the packaging, it's immediately clear that they are made to a high quality standard, and that is reinforced when you use them. Also, looking through the reviews, the few people that mentioned having bands break on them were very impressed with the quick and professional response getting them a replacement at no charge. I even subscribed to the email list! If I had one request, it would be that I would love to see new products in the future such as higher intensity bands to really push my limits, as well as a bar. Forget that overpriced x3. In the meantime I will make do with what I have, but if those ever pop up in the store (or the email) I will scoop them up ASAP!
