Best dry lube I have tried so far.
Works great on bicycles. No need to pre clean the chain. It dry's in approx. 40 mins in dry weather. I ride near the ocean and there is sand here and there but mostly a clean ride. It keeps the chain lubed and clean for approx. 100 miles. Then I notice the chain start to skip a bit. It works well in winter on salted roads but needs to be applied more often. It does not allow any gunk on the drive train including the cassette, so I don't have to clean it.

Best Dry Bicycle Lube (2025 Edit)
Dry lubes don't hold sand and grit that turn into a paste. This paste grinds away our expensive bicycle parts. Of all the dry lubes I have used, this Dupont Chain Saver works the best. The price is good and Amazon makes it easily available. It takes about 3-4 generous applications to flush the old oils and grease out before the chain will remain clean. I ride 60-100 miles a week on the coastal streets of SW Florida. Sand is everywhere on the pavement. I would never go back to the high maintenance of the popular oils. To clear one thing up, this Dupont Chain Saver has plenty of wax in it. The user just needs to make sure the can is well shaken before spraying. In the last 4 years I used many cans and every can had all the wax needed to lubricate well. The wax flows into the chain rollers better when the air is warm. It cleans it self each time as well. It seems the liquid carrier does the cleaning and the wax and Teflon remain once evaporated. I just use it on the chain, I can't speak for other parts. I don't skimp on it but keep in mind it serves as a cleaner and a lube. A pre wipe down with a dry rag can save some product. I apply it every 60-100miles. This one step process saves me a lot of time. Once you get a system of catching the runoff, you will never look back. EDIT 2025: 26000 miles using this lube as a one step process. One cassette and one aluminum chain ring so far. I don't skimp on the usage of this chain saver product though. I one-step lube/clean every 60-100 miles.

Works EXCELLENT on my Snowblower Chain, keeps salty water OFF
This year my John Deere 47" Snowblower Chain broke after 17 years of use. During replacement, I was dealing with lots of grees and grime on the old chain and grease around the housing/shroud. I figured there must be something else, so I purchased this DuPont Teflon Chain Saver "Self-Cleaning" lube? The chain on a snowblower is constantly exposed to freezing temperatures and is frequently blasted with ice and snow, then a thaw. It's a challenging environment for metals and after I thoroughly sprayed down the replacement chain before installing on the blower, it looks clean like there is no grease on it at all and nothing is flinging off onto the newly cleaned housing. I also used it on all of the cable pulleys and cables that control the blower shoot. It does repel water and grime as nothing is sticking to any of these working parts and I'm assuming it's also keeping water/moisture out and away from the contact/wear surfaces. It's probably the combination of a new chain and this lubricant, but my snowblower has never run so quietly and I don't hear the chain as before. Better than grease, cleanest lubricant I've ever used. I'm happy with it and plan to re-apply as part of my spring/fall maintenance schedule. Definitely recommend this Dry-Self-Cleaning-Lube.

Good product
Good product, keeps my bike chains much cleaner than wet lubricants. However the can pressure seems to be low, and the pressure was zero when a lot of lubricant was still inside.

Best chain lube I’ve used in 50 years
I don’t think you can do much better than this product and the 11 oz can is a bargain right now. It wasn’t messy at all and over pressurized I was able to apply and even coat inside and out with only a drip or two that cleaned up easily. It’s much like a liquid car wax. It goes on wet and dries in 30 minutes or less. Hardly any overspray and what little did get on my black Excel rims wiped right off. But it made me want to wax my rims(not good)

Great product, keep it lubricated and it won't snap
Nice chain lube, keep your chain clean and lubricated and it will last is how it usually goes. Used this on my stand up gas scooter haven't broke a chain yet. I usually add it right before I ride and I'm good for the day. Definitely more liquid-like than types that I've used in the past, but seems to still do the trick.
