Product description Review: Fun lens, at the right price, with a lot of character and a lot of versatility. - What can I say? This is easily one of the most fun lenses I own. Clinical look from a modern lens? Nope. It has a fun, playful character like a vintage lens from the 70's. Versatility is amazing and it will take any shot you want. Low light? Sure, no problem. The character of the low light shots is interesting as well, with a very slight blue hue on the bokeh. Did we mention the aperture range? It's anything you want it to be. Definitely recommend this lens as one to throw in the bag for hours of fun and just, straight up, cool shots. Review: Illicit fun for professional photographers - Yes it vignettes, yes it is soft in the corners, yes the chromatic aberrations are wild and yes it flares easily, but is it wonderful? Oh it is definitely wonderful! Plenty of contrast, easy to focus; even stopped down a few stops. Wide open and you don’t need a focus magnifier, or other focusing aides. If you are a professional or serious enthusiast and you shoot raw, this “hunk” of glass is worth it. Creamy backgrounds and lots of “analog” character. Even shooting jpegs straight out of the camera this lens has a special quality. If you are tired of clinically sharp primes with no character or you find yourself pulling back on the detail and texture sliders to add a little glow, this just might be your solution to long summer days. If your G Master 135 1.8 is not sharp enough for you, you may be wound a little too tight for this gem, but if you shoot everyday and need some good old fashioned optical fun and enjoy the unexpected, this optic will put a smile on your face. Update: Became annoyed with the droopy built in lens shade. B&W makes a rigid aluminum lens shade that works great. I took a jewelers saw to the old lens shade, but you could just as easily leave the rigid shade on the lenses to keep the built in lens hood from retracting.

Good budget fisheye
Good entry level fisheye. Full metal body. Focus ring is a little stiff, fixed aperture.

Great trick lens, but not very durable.
The lens takes excellent photos with a razor-thin plane of focus. The bokeh is rather pleasing. However, after 3 years, it started falling apart. The aperture ring has become misaligned with the f stop indicator dot. The focus ring has also stopped working which has forced this into being a fixed focus lens. This is a delightful trick lens, but don't expect it to last forever.

Good purchase
Very affordable lens for some interesting aspects to your photography. Compact, lightweight and seems to be well made.

Solid little prime lens
Perfect light fish eye. Its not too fishe eyed, but its definitely a fish eye. When put in aps-c mode its less fish eyed and I really like the look of it. Its light, compact, and so fun to shoot on. I live that they whole thing is metal

More Fun Than You Can Imagine in Classic Style
I am really enjoying this lens on Sony 7 series bodies. Appreciate the lack of fisheye distortion and as suggested in the description it really shines on landscapes, architecture and indoors. Sample photos shared. For the money, you can’t beat the overall performance. I really like the build too; metal and glass. The focus and f-stop rings are right where they should be providing a classic look and feel. Very compact footprint, on my Sony 7C-II I can carry the camera in a small fanny pack. Exceptional value at the reduced price.

Quality product
I don’t believe in 5 stars however, I enjoy the lens. I just got it, I didnt know it was a fixed lens but that’s my mistake. GREAT video quality and pictures none the less 💯

Calidad
La calidad tanto de fabricación como de imagen es muy buena para el precio Es aluminio completamente, construcción sólida y poca aberración cromática

Dober objektiv

Too quirky
Quirky as you’d expect, but with a high minimum focus distance, cheap construction and small aperture, it did not have nearly enough redeeming features.

Saber comprar.
