FirstChoiceCandy Giant Gumdrops Assorted Sugar Sanded Gum Drops (2 Pound (Pack of 1))

I've sent this brand of giant gumdrops for the past three years, to our grandkids for their Christmas gumdrop tree. They report they're large, fresh and yummy, and enough colorful candies in the bag to replenish the tree. A good value, too, for 2 pounds.

Right size, good taste but all the different colors taste the same

i got my order today an was surprised in the size. from the picture these looked like the regular small gum/spice drops. wrong these are 3 times the size. wanted to return these but i get these are non-returnable. i checked amazons return policy which said some items are not returnable see sellers profile, i can't find the profile you know it would't be a bad idea if amazon had these retailers indicate their return policy on their page. im going to throw these out to the ants. best regards and thank you, THE ANTS. at least it won't be a total waste. UPdate today i cut the bag open, since i couldn't make a return, and headed outside. anyway on the way out i tried some of the drops. the ants lose, i'm keeping these, they taste pretty good. i would still prefer the smaller drops. these have a good flavor but alittle to gummy for me. overall they taste like 5 star but because these are not what you might think they, size, i'm changing my rating to 3.5 stars. p.s. i just bought spice drops at a walmart , in nevada, 32 oz. (2 lbs.) (907g..) $ 2.58

Candy was nice and fruity. You can enjoy the flavors for what they're supposed to be. A bit pricey.

These are very tasty gumdrops --nice size however per the package each gumdrop serving is 40 calories and bag says has 136 servings in 3 lb bag

I wanted something sweet and gumdrops sounded like just the thing. The picture looked intriguing. The price ($6/#) was more than I'd ever paid before for gum drops but these days almost everything is more. I ordered and they arrived just as promised. I tried one and after sucking on it for a while I realized there was almost no taste. I've probably tried all of the colors by now and the only one that has a distinct taste seems to be the black licorice and even that one is somewhat muted. The other thing I've noticed is that a number of them are not really gum drops; they are simply discs. They look like the top 2/3rds of the gumdrop has been sliced off before the sugar sanding was applied. Most of the reviews were positive although there were quite a few that were not and the lack of taste was mentioned in at least one. Even so, I wondered if I just wasn't tasting them very well so I've shared them with several visitors and asked how they liked them. All three were non-committal so I asked specifically about the taste and they all admitted that there wasn't any taste. I won't be buying them - or anything else from FirstChoiceCandy - again.

Regarding the size, there are two sizes of gumdrops. The smaller "spice drop" size and the larger size that I would consider "normal". These are the larger size, just like you would find in a candy store. They aren't unusually huge; just the bigger of the two sizes. They are fresh and soft, with good fruit flavors. Exactly what i was looking for to put on my gumdrop tree.

I'm sooo glad I didn't listen to the naysayers reviewing this candy. Mine was fresh and soft. Just got it and it's great. I've been looking for these for a while and I finally found them on Amazon. Thanks!
