Loudness

A very solid album by Loudness. I would definitely say that this album was a return to form. I wish it wasn't so overlooked because this album ROCKS! Everyone Lies, Twisted, and Waking The Dead are probably my favorite songs off of this album.

With On the Prowl in '91, their last album with Hollywood gutter-boy Mike Vescera, Loudness went retro with re-recorded tunes from the early days and hard-rockin' blues a la AC/DC. With their self-titled album from '92 they "progressed" to a more progressive '70's feel in the vein of Bill Steer's Firebird or Michael Amott's Spiritual Beggars. Better than you might think.

Excellent album the quality of great musicians not that typical hair band sound,a must have for every loudness fan!

Loudness with the singer from EZO!! You can't lose!!

Definitely, among my favourite Loudness albums! I bought it to my landlord while I was living in Japan, as the guy was a huge Loudness (and, of course, metal as well) fan. The thing I did not know was he disliked the Yamada Era. After having listened the album together, Mr. Inamura (his last name) realized I did like the album more than him, and tried to give me back the CD, which I obviously did not accept (having not noticed he did not like the album that much yet). I've got to get it back anyhow, in a near future. But I would rather buy an LP version, as the cover art is pretty impressive, as the power, rapid heavy metal presented in this record.

Wow. What a great record from Loudness. I asked someone to pick this up for me when they went to Japan, and I am very glad they did. With only two original members on this album (Guitarist Akira Takasaki, and Drummer Munetaka Higuchi) It is one of the heaviest Loudness albums of all time. They brought in the guy from EZO (I forget his name) to sing with them on this one and he is a great fit. A great Metal voice, almost like UDO from Accept, but more melodic. The lyrics could be a little less cheesy, but what do you expect from 80's Metal?! Great riffs and lots of meat on this one. I highly recommend this for any Loudness fan. This album totally kicks.

This is a bit of a change of style for the band as it seems to go more towards groove metal than their previously established heavy metal style. Regardless, it's worth a listen just to hear their take on the former.

バランスが良くパワーのある作品です！

デビューから追いかけていたLOUDNESSも二井原さんの離脱でしばらく遠ざかる事になる。この時期のLOUDNESS情報がすっぽりと抜けていたのだが、なんとマイクの離脱後に、EZOのMASAKIさんが加入していた。殆どその理由だけで購入を決意。ボーカル中心で聞いてしまう自分には、LOUDNESSのアルバムと言うよりEZOのアルバムかと思ってしまうのだが、ギターもドラムもベースもパワフルだし、これはこれでありだと思います。しっかり聞けます。
