HighKey 2.0oz Peanut Butter Cookies

Although we are not on the Keto diet, due to food allergies and health issues, my fiancé and I have had to stop eating gluten, sugar, and dairy. We both have a bit of a sweet tooth, but it was nearly impossible to find any “boxed” dessert mixes that fit our strict ingredient limitations. Growing tired of making everything from scratch, I ran across the HighKey Chocolate Chip Fudge brownie mix on Amazon one day, which I reviewed previously. In short, we found them to be even better than any “real” brownie mix money can buy - super moist, fudge-style, rich, chocolatey perfection! After eating all the Chocolate Chip Fudge brownies within a 24 hour period, we immediately ordered more and also decided to give the Blonde Brownies mix a try. Let me tell you...HighKey nailed these blondies, too! Once again, they’re not just delicious by the Keto, gluten-free/sugar-free standard, but even better than any “real” boxed brownie mix out there. Perfect sweet and fudgy balance, slightly chewy, and not at all dry. Both the HighKey blondies and brownie mixes are equally delicious in different ways, so it’s impossible to choose a clear favorite. I will say that, being the Blonde Brownies aren’t nearly as rich as the dark Chocolate Chip Fudge brownies, we’re easily able to finish off an entire pan of blondies in one night! Dairy-free option: As with the Chocolate Chip Fudge brownies, I did away with the butter completely, substituting equal parts of refined coconut oil, which had no effect on the taste or texture. Great option, if you want to replace the butter and go dairy-free! Other tips: Read the instructions carefully! Unlike the Chocolate Chip Fudge brownie mix, the Blonde Brownies call for “softened” butter - not melted. I missed this key difference the first time, and ended up melting all the chocolate chips when I stirred up the batter. They still tasted perfect, but did not look perfect. Oops! I’ve also found the cook time to be closer to 24-25 minutes. I can’t really find anything negative to say about the quality or taste of the HighKey Blonde Brownie mix! The only downside, which other reviewers mention, is the cost - $10 is a lot for one 8x8 inch pan of brownies, especially since we can (and have) eaten them all in one night. That being said, eating healthy is not cheap, and these blondies are worth every penny!

I bought this blondie mix ages ago and finally made it tonight. I was pleasantly surprised with the taste. The outer edges tasted better, so I'd say it's worth trying to make these in a muffin pan. They taste even better after they're chilled in the fridge, but when storing then, put some parchment paper between em. I didnt and they got stubbornly stuck to each other haha. Of course there's that stevia/sweetener taste, but if you're a fellow keto dieter then its expected, and the blend of sweeteners in this mix helps balance that out. The only downside was having to buy vanilla extract for it, but if you plan to or do bake often, you'll need the stuff sooner or later, assuming you dont have it already. Also, compared to the brownies from Fat snax that are like $30 a dozen, this baking mix is a great value.

The blonde brownies are surprisingly good, and super easy to make. Just need to add some butter, eggs, vanilla. They very much remind me of a cookie bar. Not a brownie. It nearly tastes like a regular cookie, but has that hint of something that is definitely reminiscent of a keto product. Though overall very good. Has a good crumble. Might be a tad to moist, oily, but flavor and mouthfeel is pretty good. The aroma reminds me of their vanilla wafer cookies . I am not at all keto, not even low carb. I am just looking to avoid/minimalize foods that trigger a life long issue with binge eating. Since sugar, in the form of treats seems to "spark my brain" to over consume (not just a piece of cake but the whole cake, not 1 donut, but 12, not a couple of cookies, but the whole batch, a frenzied driving need...), I am combating my problem by reducing sugary treats. It has been helping, a lot. No binge in 7 months. In 20+ years, I hadn't gone more than a few days. So this is huge, whatever I am doing. I can have a piece of this and not want the whole batch. It doesnt make my brain itchy to need to consume more. I still have a big appetite, and often over eat, but it isnt sweets, and it isnt a "binge". Not sure how to explain it.. but I feel much more in control. And since I dont have a driving need for sugary treats, having Keto desserts on hand helps me to at least think I have something I can nosh on if need be (especially when husband comes home with donuts). I really know nothing much about the actual approved Keto sweeteners, so I can't comment on that. I can only say that this is close to normal cookie taste I have had in awhile, and it still doesn't trigger my brain to dive in and binge. I have liked a wide assortment of Highkey products, and have been disgusted by some keto boxed cookies/cakes/muffin mixes.. so I am pleased that this is yet another amazing "keto" product by Highkey. And for $7.48, not terrible price. Thank you for not price gouging. For that, I will likeley buy more, and try their regular brownies sometime soon.

I have been keto'ing for a very long time now and once and a while I do have a craving for something out of my usual rotation. This is my first time ordering anything like this, and let me tell you this blondie mix HIT THE SPOT! So delicious, they come out soft, sweet, and buttery almost exactly like a chocolate chip cookie bar. Great dessert option for those who have a sweet tooth, my boyfriend who is a literal sugarholic absolutely loved these. They are EXTEMELY expensive for the amount you get, so ordering again will be reserved only for when a special occasion warrants. However, based on flavor and quality I highly recommend and can't wait to try the actual brownie mix next! (Also, vanilla is an ingredient you need to add when making the mix that is not listed on the package just FYI)

Wow! The flavor, texture, ingredients, and nutrition facts of these blondie brownies are perfect. Erythritol and allulose have zero impact on blood sugar or insulin levels and they leave no unfavorable aftertaste so they are the perfect sweeteners for anyone with diabetes or following a keto lifestyle. I always look for those two sweeteners only because I find that others will either leave a horrible aftertaste or spike my blood sugar. These brownies needed to be cooked for about 9 more minutes than the box suggested, which was fine. They truly have the perfect texture and flavor. As I mentioned before, I am beyond impressed with the clean ingredients and nutrition facts, it’s the perfect “guilty pleasure” without the guilt. I’m very pleased and will definitely have these delivered monthly!

I ordered this mix on the recommendation of a YouTuber that I follow, and they were just okay. You can definitely taste that they are a “diet” food, but it does mentally give you the feeling of eating a real baked treat. The smell, and the process of mixing/baking/cutting make me feel as if I have made real, sugary blondies. I was left satisfied after eating them, but I was aware that these are Keto Blondies so my expectations for taste were low. My fiancé, who loves sweets, ate one and did not want any more because he thought they tasted too “fake”. Overall, they taste like Keto blondies, which is exactly what they are. If your expectations are reasonable, you will enjoy the process of baking and eating these blondies.

These are, simply put, very good. The use of real butter in prep adds a nice richness to the final product. The chips are plentiful, although not too much so, and their robust flavor complements the blondie without overpowering it. The blondies brown nicely, and have a soft and moist texture, even a couple of days later. They only ding is the "Sawdust" like texture of the almond flour (If you've ever had almond flour before, you know what I mean), but in this product, that texture is less pronounced, but still there, an unavoidable result of trying to make flour from almonds. That said, it's not so much so to be off-putting, or overcome the good qualities of the product, hence still receiving 5 stars. One bite and I re-ordered.

These were AMAZING! I've tried a few other brands Blondie mixes, and these have definitely been the best. From the taste to the texture to the inclusion of chocolate chips (some have not included them in the mix and finding keto friendly chocolate chips where I live can be a pain), I enjoyed these blondies fresh out of the oven, straight from the fridge (where I stored them), and reheated. The texture is so fudgy and chewy. I really prefer dense brownies, blondies, cookies, etc. so these were straight up my alley and curbed my sugar cravings while allowing me to stay in ketosis. Only complaint is I wish they were a little cheaper but you do tend to pay more for keto goodies, I guess.
