Perfect for what I was looking for, very heavy weight and mutes the sound well in my apartment so I don't bother the neighbors, my upstairs neighbors can't hear a thing but I still feel like I get good quality practice. the quality is good and feels like a solid block of gold. Very nice

Need a thinner bridge to fit properly.
I have seen this work very well. Itโs very quiet, but this one did not fit my bridge. Good quality, but your bridge has to be just the right thickness or you cant use it.

Powerful practice mute
It is very effective as a practice mute and it still brings out the musical expression. It can be applied on the viola as well if the size is not too big.

Quiet practice
I wanted to play my violin w/o disturbing neighbors too much, especially since it has been a long time since Iโve played regularly. There are lots of off notes. This mute dampens the sound quite well.
