Needed a small drafting surface to handle home remodeling projects. This product was perfect! Simple to use, the self holding clamps held paper in place; no need to tape paper down, sturdy enough for my use. I will get a lot of use from this product.

I am using this drawing board to sketch a house to watercolor. This helps with all the critical straight lines. The sliding bar has a firm locking system on the end that slides in the groove. The other end of the sliding bar has a similar option to secure it to the groove on the board but the plastic piece that goes into the groove doesn't have anything to secure it to the groove. This allows this end to wiggle a little. I've wrapped florist tape around that plastic piece to provide a rubber type of cushion to fit snuggly into the groove and hold that end of the sliding bar into place when the button is pressed to secure that end. I've been in contact with the seller and they are wonderful. The seller offered a refund and I refused because for the money it suits my needs and I am willing to search for something to resolve this small imperfection.

My old, heavy, high-priced, accurate drafting board was destroyed in a natural disaster and I couldn’t justify the price of replacing it with another of like (high-priced) kind. I worked without one for several years, drawing plans other ways. Sketch-Up is the “in” thing now and is arguably better at visualizing things in 3D, but it’s not the equal of a small, manual drafting board where you can quickly work out small ideas for small small projects. So I bought this. It’s not super accurate. It’s all plastic. The imprinted scales are not particularly useful, but overall, it does the job intended. It’s light and transportable, and for twenty-eight bucks, it’s worth the price. The cardboard box it comes in is (apparently) designed as a carrying case, and it’s adequate for that purpose. The surface of the board is purported to have a “magnetic” surface for paper, and it’s true that paper won’t easily slide around on it. I was surprised how paper won’t slide on it, however I tape the corners of the paper anyway. This would be a useful item for a contractor doing quick drawings on a job site. It’s cheap, so if it gets dirty, busted or stolen, you just replace it with another.

Great product for your money. You are able to do everything that you want to do with drafting, clear, neatly, and precise. If you ensure to lock both sides of your horizontal bar, everything will be square. It is quite simple to use and supplied with the tools needed. Definitely recommend.

This board is well made with a drafter in mind. While most are using CAD, if you need to or just still enjoy the sketching, this is a perfect surface for quick sketches and detailed drawing. Love the paper clamp holders!
