Does the job well!
So... someone, whose identity will remain secret, dropped a toothbrush, business end first, down the bathroom pedestal sink. Naturally, the trap stopped it from going too far but trying to remove it was a challenge. The trap is metal and the coupling nut has been sealed for decades. It wouldn't budge and in such close quarters, with a porcelain pedestal base and very little wiggle room, I wasn't about to tempt fate and make a bad situation worse. I considered long-handled needle nose pliers or forceps but didn't think they would work because the drain opening is narrow, so I asked AI for suggestions and it mentioned a claw tool. Sure enough, the Dr. Pen 35.4" Flexible Grabber Claw Tool solved the problem after a few tries and saved us money and aggravation. This is a handy gadget to have on hand, so I'm happy with my purchase. The tool is flexible but not so much as to be wobbly or unwieldy. The claw has excellent gripping tension and once it grabs, it is effective. Good quality, reasonably priced. As for the included plastic drain snake, which is just okay, it's a nice inclusion that I didn't need or want.

Easy and simple but effective
Amazing! Literally fixed my draining problem in less than 5min. It's so simple to use a child could do it. My shower drain was starting to not drain properly. I thought I'd give this a try and boy was I happy! I even have a hair catcher but it didn't catch everything. I've lived in my house for 8 years and while the picture doesn't do it justice with how much hair this grabber got. There's 3 giant clumps of hair in that Amazon package. It was so gross I didn't know where to put it so I put it in the bag the product came in. Haha. It really did what it says it'll do. I'm a very happy customer! I haven't written a review in ages but the ease and price of this lifesaver is just too good to not rave about.

Many uses, intended or not
I didn’t realize how long this was when I bought it. I saw the length, but I didn’t realize how long 5+ feet is in comparison to such a little claw. It’s a long, very flexible rod with a very small claw on the end. Anything you can grab with the claw, you can hardly see when it’s 5 feet away. It’s also hard to grab something that small with such a flexible pole. The button you push to open the claw can be a little stiff, but it loosens with use. I haven’t used this much, and it didn’t serve my original purpose. I should’ve gotten a shorter one, which is what I’d recommend, unless you have a specific reason for needing a strangely unwieldy grabbing claw. I gave it 4 stars because if you need this size claw, it seems well-made and sturdy. It performs its job well. The best thing about it, however, is that my kid loves it. He uses it for all kinds of weird things that I’d never thing of—or have any reason to be doing. He grabs leaves off a trees, uses it as an antennae for lots of forts and costumes, tries to pick up little things with it as a game, and I believe he and his friends have even invented a claw tag game. So, while I don’t think most, if any, people come here to buy a “tag claw,” nor was that the manufacturer’s intended purpose, it has served a purpose, and served it well. It’s worth a lot if it entertains 6 year olds for an afternoon with no tears, so regardless of what I purchased it for, I’ve gotten my money’s worth and love it.

Can handle a heavy job.
We had a 1.5’ of these grabber tools, but we needed a longer one when my son dropped his phone down a hollow tree trunk. I was worried that it wouldn’t be strong enough to lift the phone, but it absolutely did the job in about 30 seconds! So grateful.

"Could" be a great tool, BUT needs a change
Good tool, but as others said, it has a flaw. First let me say that most of these retrievers with a black shaft are identical, regardless of brand. And, they are longer and better than the cheaper, silver versions. This one is fairly well made for the price, but it's hard to use. Now, to be clear, I did not buy this as a drain cleaner. I needed a retriever for confined spaces. Now the issue - The spring. The coil spring on this is way too strong. Even if you have a strong grip as I do, pushing this plunger is absurdly hard. Someone with a weaker grip will not be able to operate it. My wife can't push it at all. They use these overly strong springs to allow it to grip and hold heavy weights, to make the specs look better. But, I doubt you will need the ability to lift bricks or heavy items while cleaning drains or retrieving dropped bolts etc. This simply needs a weaker spring to be a five-star tool, but until then, I don't recommend.

Problem solver for crushing shredder
I bought this to remove stray pieces of wood from my Ryobi electric crushing shredder. Occasionally small pieces of wood bounce around above the blades and interfere with the shredding process. This tool is a fantastic solution - it reaches deep into the crushing compartment (while it’s switched off!) and easily grabs the stray pieces for removal.

Robust
Stabiel und robust, dadurch aber etwas schwer zu handhaben. Feder ist etwas zu kräftig. Ansonsten ein gutes Gerät.

Worth the try
I feel the need to write a review. The reason I bought this was a brand new soap was falling mid flush toilet and I been trying hot water to let it dissolve. I fear it starting to clog because the water start to comes up and drain slowly. And this work like a charm, not because of the grabber, I force the wire tube way in. it pushed all the way through so I think the soap break apart. I push 2-3 times before flushing and boom, miraculously works!

Excellent product, but you should spend some time to straighten both components.
I cleaned up clogged bathroom sink drain in 15 minutes, both tools are excellent! Keep in mind that you may use Grabber in two ways: push it down, grab a grease and pull it out; or push it down, expend and pull up having it expended all the time until it reaches surface so it removes the grease from pipe's surface. Very effective, I give it 5+ stars!
