Sony RMF-TX500U OEM Remote Control

Our remote went bad. The home button was not working anymore. Mostly, my boy was pressing to hard on it. Got this as a replacement and works excellent. We don’t use the voice so can’t tell if that works or not.

I accidentally washed my previous remote, and it stopped working with my Sony OLED TV. I wanted a reliable replacement that closely resembled the original one because I’ve become accustomed to its layout. Additionally, it seamlessly integrates with my Apple TV and functions as a backup remote in case I lose the other one. Surprisingly, I could easily remove the batteries from the old remote and insert them into the new one. The connection was instantaneous, eliminating the need for synchronization or even consulting the instruction manual. It’s a straightforward and convenient solution that aligns perfectly with my preferences.

True story .. my TV manual (for the Sony TV whose remote dropped dead after only 9 months of use) says that these remotes cannot be programmed to work with another TV. News flash .. yes, yes they can. I fully expected to have to send this back when it didn't work but .. sadly, I was disappointed and now I don't let the wife touch this one. Sometimes I do let her hold the old one though .. after I take the batteries out of course.

Worked great for a few hours, now half of the buttons stopped working. Remote wasn't dropped or anything, just stopped working on it own. No amount of trouble shooting helps.

The buttons are hard to push

I originally purchased a knockoff which was incredibly a piece of junk but it did start performing better once I went through the menu options of the device preferences on the TV the Sony Bravia, Model KDL-52XBR7, and it would perform double and triple clicks when you press on the okay round button and you had to really press hard to activate any of the buttons to activate the function. Very frustrating to use and today I got this one which is an actual OEM version of the Sony remote that my TV came with it was brand new not used but it did not come in the Box it came in a little plastic bag did not include the batteries however this thing performs like a jewel but don't forget you need to go reconnect the new one through the device preferences and then remotes and accessories and then you click on remote and then add a new remote and when it prompts you to you hold down the volume button to turn it down but continue to hold that while you press the Google speaker microphone activate and button and then hold it for 3 seconds and then you'll see an orange light blinking and then you can let it go and it will connect and it will work fantastically just as the original I got with the TV when I purchased it. I made this a long review because it's very frustrating buying some of these things from Amazon and they come from China and they're not original equipment although Sony's original equipment is made in China, go figure. Before you know it the United States is going to become China in all forms and Fashions if you don't watch out and vote for the right party

Better made, easy to use and these take falls better, they look better, they are better!

Got this remote exactly the same as the OEM and fixed my remote for my TV

I received the item after 3 weeks. It looks exactly as the original remote, works fine too.
