I like it! I go back to it, and thatโs a win!
Ok, letโs just get it out of the way first, the narrative tends to go all over the place. But it is not distracting, it actually makes the chapters more stand-alone, which is perfect for me. So, I donโt really mind. I may be biased, but I donโt like motivational books. I believe the content delivered by plethora of such books over a couple of decades hasnโt really changed and I became immune to the motivational highs they deliver. I donโt consider this a motivational book in that sense. Let me just leave it at that. When I picked this up, I did not expect to become a business wiz or develop an overnight Will to Win by the end of this book. And so, I actually enjoyed this book. I love the personal story in some chapters and how candid the author is in some of the end chapters when he talks about the churn in his own company. To me, this book is simply the authorโs reflection on the his personal journey through various aspects of his personal and professional life and his learningโs from the same. And that makes it more relatable. The author Does not give the illusion of being perfect, he appears human in all the situations he talks about, like dealing with pain of personal loss or taking though decisions when needed, and I really like that. That is what makes me identify with him and the wisdom he coveys through all of these anecdotes sinks in. I find myself coming back to certain chapters of this book over and over again. I have a few bookmarks and read those chapters in isolation and I do end up feeling warm, happy and ready to refocus on my own challenges without giving me a motivation high (and then a crash). I would say that is a win! P.S. I particularly love how the book ends with a heart-touching anecdote of kindness and positivity, that is one of the chapters I keep going back to. I didnโt read โDrivenโ but I did read โYou donโt have to be a sharkโ and the last chapter there ends somewhat similarly as well. You leave the book feeling positive and happy, at least I did.

amazing...
Everyone can relate to the story, Robert did a great job explaining his route to the tipping point of making him a very successful person. His words are very true, Seems as if he speaks from his heart and carries it on his shoulder. Robert if you read this review.... Do you have embedded this phrase in my mind which I will follow every day.. "Go really really fast". -Gary

Highly Motivating, Mediocre Writing
Robert Herjavec is clearly amazing at a lot of things - writing is not one of them. That being said, his story is extremely motivational and a great demonstration of a person's capacity to accomplish anything if they don't focus on the obstacles in their lives, and instead set goals and seek any and all opportunities that propel you towards these goals. I loved how this book showed that behind his polite and thoughtful image is a fiercely competitive and ambitious mentality. I would recommend this for anyone who wants to get pumped up about doing great things - and not for someone who's looking for a great read.

REAL DEAL - REAL GOOD CONTENT
Robert shows why he had the best wisdom, and has the genuine life experiences to back what he markets. All business professionals will learn from his deep material. Much wisdom on strategy and pitfalls to avoid. Highest rating!

Great Book, Written by a great guy!
Like Robert I really enjoy stories of self built business people. I really took a lot from the parts of family he discusses. As a business owner myself it is very easy to focus on work and sacrifice family. Robert does a great job of pointing out what really matters.

Still worth reading and some fun inside information into his life as a shark and meeting celebrities. Check out Arlene's books too!
