wonderful teaching tool
We home educate the children and use Magic School Bus products every week. We love the way they appeal to the children. This kit has everything you need to teach about Magnets! Great kit!

Fun Kit
I got this kit, because I like the magic school bus videos and it had all the different types of magnets. The items are minis, but the directions are easy to follow and ideas are presented in a fun way for kids.

Cheaper substitutions
It's okay as a starter. However, the glue was squeezed out and the magnets weren't as brightly colored as advertised. It looks like someone substituted cheaper parts than what is in the picture

The 6 year old boy of my friend loved it! Parents probably put it a way and didn't help him play with it though.

Possible home school fun
The rating is more of a 3.5. My then 6 year old was obsessed with Magic School Bus and scientists so I got him this for Christmas. This more for older kids I'd say maybe 8 and up maybe 7 depending on the kid. The iron powder makes one hell of a mess. Would make an ok lesson for homeschool families. Other than that It's cool to have I suppose.

Disappointing
The recommended age on Amazon is 6 months to 1 year. Definitely no! That would be way too young for the small parts. I was most disappointed that the little u shaped magnet was broken when I opened the set. I think it is too late to return.
