I have this installed in a sump for my discus tank. Works well and runs quiet. I did notice that if you reduce the speed, it gets quite a bit louder though. If I could do it again, I’d buy a smaller one and then max out the controller to reduce the noise. But I’m very satisfied.

It was easy to plumb into my system and has worked flawlessly for the last week or so. The controller works well and the feeding pause option is nice. At max 1000gph it is quiet. If you plan on only running at max it's pretty low noise but as you dial it down the noise goes up, seems like lower should be quieter but it's not. For a DC return pump it seems to be good value.

Pump works as advertised and am satisfied at this point in time. The problem is, after numerous emails with Hydor, I learned there is no way for me to purchase replacement parts. In their own words: "Regardless if your warranty is expired or not, there are no available replacement parts for purchase or ordering." There was no explanation given as to why. This policy incentivizes me to go elsewhere for future pump needs.

Works great submerged or dry and quiet. It has a small footprint and easy to maintain and clean. The controller works well with several speed settings. This a great little pump for moving water at a reasonable rate. It's not intended to move thousands of gallons per hour but does work very well for reactors and UV sterilizers.

Great little pump! But noisey! A very high pitched "whining" noise. It has not subsided after a month. Plenty of flow and hasn't skipped a beat. I give it 4 stars because of the noise.

Bought this to replace a smaller version for a 65 gal salt water aquarium. Works excellent and I don’t even have set on highest setting. Feeding pause button with auto restart after 5 min is great feature.

As a pump it works fine, but its very noisy. You can hear it humming from clear across the other side of the house. Ill keep it as a spare, but replaced it with something a little more quite.
