HDMI to VGA Adapter

Works great for an old VGA monitor! A VGA to HDMi cable wouldn't work. This connector adjusts the signal between the monitor and the computer and it works great!

My wife was gifted an older VGA monitor and her newer laptop does not have VGA output. We purchased a USB-C docking station, but her USB-C port on the laptop does not pass video. The Moread HDMI to VGA adapter solved the problem. Plugged the unit into the HDMI port on the laptop and then the monitors VGA cable to the VGA end of the adapter. The monitor recognized the input immediately. The unit seems to be solid construction and compact allowing you to take it on the go. The VGA end has screw terminals so you can secure the VGA connection. At such a low price, I am considering purchasing a second unit for my laptop just in case the need arises.

I purchased this adapter to connect an older monitor to a relatively new laptop that lacks a built-in VGA port. The device performed exactly as expected and delivered excellent results. Setup was straightforward and truly plug-and-play. After connecting the monitor to the adapter and the adapter to my laptop, the display was recognized immediately with no additional configuration required. Works perfect. It would have been better if the new computers had the VGA plug in, but this works perfectly.

Easy to setup and works good.

I bought eight of these to connect several Mac Mini's to VGA capable monitor via a KVM switch. I got everything hooked up, but lo and behold, the monitors didn't work... they were reporting no signal. I tried connecting the Macs directly to the monitor via an HDMI cable and it worked, so the Mac was outputting a signal. I thought maybe the KVM switch was the issue, so I connected the Mac to the VGA port on the monitor via the adapter, but again, no signal. I next thought the VGA cable might be the issue, so I tried another, and still no luck. Finally, I tried a different monitor, thinking maybe the VGA port on the monitor was bad, but no luck with the new monitor. My final conclusion is that none of the 8 adapters I purchased work. The specs say they are unidirectional (HDMI to VGA), but that is the mode in which I am trying to use them... HDMI from the computer to VGA on the monitor. If I hadn't waited so long to test these, I'd return them in a heartbeat. Update: I have changed my rating to 5 stars because Moread has gone out of their way to correct the issue. They sent me a sample of a different adapter, which worked as I thought the original adapters should, so then they replaced all 8 of the adapters with the model that worked. I was very surprised, but have to commend Moread on their customer service. Thank you for making this right!

Worked well. Now able to use my large monitor with my laptop.
