Outstanding Results
Used this on a Midnight Blue paint job. Easy to apply and remove. Some reviewers have commented negatively about the wax being in a "Toothpaste" type of container, but it didn't bother me all that much, and that's exactly how the wax comes out of the tube, just like black toothpaste, (more of a dark grey) but that's a GOOD thing as a little product goes a long way and you know precisely how much you are adding to the black sponge applicator that comes with the wax. Apply a thin to medium coat, let dry to a haze then buff with a clean dry microfiber towel. Results are outstanding with a shine that literally looks like you are standing in front of a mirror. it will cover minor scratches, but it's not a miracle worker, keep that in mind. Some reviewers have also mentioned that the wax and oil inside the tube will separate and leak if stored on it's side, so keep the box it came in to store upright for future use. Sure, there are easier "Spray" waxes on the market, but there's something about taking pride in a job well done, even if there is a little more time and "elbow grease" involved. Pair this task with some good music and a couple of frosty adult beverages and it's hardly a "Job", it's a labor of love, hahaha.

Saved me!
First let me start by letting you know that we wash our cars at least once a week and generally wax our cars once a month. So I am no stranger to car washing or car washing products. I bought this after I made the mistake of trying to use other waxes that I used on my other cars on my new black SUV. Those products seemed to work well on my other cars but left streaks and almost made my black car look dull and dirtier than when I started. Needless to say I was very upset. I talked to my neighbor and he seemed to remember there being a wax that was specifically designed for black cars and I quickly found this product. It arrived on time and as expected. It comes with the tube of "wax" and a foam applicator. I have a mechanical orbital buffer so I never used the foam applicator, but it seems to be exactly the same quality as any other foam applicator you would get from anyone else, except this one is black. After applying this wax, not only did it undo the horrible streaking and dullness from the previous wax attempt it left my brand new SUV looking better than it did when we drove it off the lot. I took care to make sure I didn't get it on any vinyl or plastic (as it says in the directions) but an occasional brush against plastic parts didn't seem to leave any permanent white marks. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with a black car.

It works
If you have a black car in decent shape, with light swirl marks this wax works great. I have sold black cars in the past because of the work they command to keep them perfect. Per directions I waxed the entire car, let it dry and easily wiped it off. The finish is amazing, it is deep, and swirl free, no residue, no dust and it feels like glass. This is a 2012 car with 9,000 miles, but the car was in the showroom for several weeks constantly cleaned dry, it had swirl marks I could not correct with several polish products. All my work is by hand, no guts to work with a machine. Today I took a chance by cleaning off light dust with a California Duster, something I only use on my white cars, no marks at all; I am really happy. The wax is as easy as Detailers wax to use, yet is a paste in toothpaste like tube. Only a week old so I am not sure how it will hold up, given the ease of use I am good if it lasts more than a month. I think it attracts dust like most wax, [I was in construction areas so not sure], I expect to see less dust after the first wash.

Nice Shine/ Easy On & Off....
I polished my Black Ford Focus this evening, and it looks great. Will be able to compare in the morning. Easy to apply and easy to wipe/buff off. The only negative is, you have to stay away from any plastic/rubber trim. I polish the entire car and let it dry to a haze and wiped it off. I was also hoping this Black Polish would help hide the front end stone chips, but the polish is gray in color and does not hide stone chips, it may help make a 15% difference. I have been using Meguiar's Ultimate Polish, which also does a nice job, and you can wax over the plastic/rubber trim, with out any problems. Time will tell..... I may check out Turtle Wax has a Black polish, it may cover the stone chips on the front end. That is what I need is a product that will help hide stone chips on a Black Car...... PS. This was One Fast Shipping Order... Placed Order at 2 am. at 6pm the Order Arrived, Cost $9 bucks.... I spent that much in gas looking for this Black Wax at all of the Discount car part stores. The Only store that Stocks this Black Wax in the store is O'Reily's Car Parts in Va./Md.

Not just a gimmick
I used this as step 1 in a three part wax glaze wax system. I used it as a cleaner wax after I used my clay bar. I like this wax because it does all three things cleaning sealing and waxing. That way I'm covered should I have to stop after step one. However I was able to complete the steps on my Honda accord. And the car does look like a mirror. The car was beat paint wise, I used a clay bar then this.It did indeed restore a deep rich shine. I also used the white wax on another white car. The black did a much better job on a paint in far worse condition. I smile everytime I look at the car. It has 160,000 miles on it and sits exposed in a bus parking lot while I'm at work . But outside of hood chips in the paint it looks like it was just painted. I did notice it left a deep rich shine and even livened up my black hood stripes. If I only could only use one wax this would be on top of the list right behind mothers pure carnuba wax. I dont know how long it lasts on its own so I cant comment on that.

a great wax for black
I first used the Turtle Wax "Black Box" on my truck and was really disappointed. It hardly looked any different when I was done and it was a lot of work. Next I used some Meguiar's Swirl-X followed with Meguiar's Car Cleaner Wax. The truck looked great but it was kind of a nuisance to get all the white haze from the dried wax out of the cracks . . . so I tried this - wow, I love it. It covered minor scratches, and gave my truck a deep black shine. I was surprised the truck could look better than it already did. This wax is really a different kind of wax - it comes in a tube like toothpaste, and squeezes out like toothpaste. It has a different smell to it and is a weird gray color - but it is easy to use (just like any other wax) and makes black paint look great. I highly recommend it. The only question I have is how far the tube will go - it feels like it won't stretch that far, but we'll see, it could just be that it is hard to gauge it. Update: Still like the wax, but the smell, though not unpleasant, can be strong. On a windless day I was waxing my truck in a carport (open front and back - enclosed sides)- the fumes wafted into the open garage window and collected there. The smell was so strong it really irritated my throat. I looked at the tube it comes in and it warns about eyes, nose, and throat irritation. It also wafted into the house and irritated my wife (pun intended). I had to air the garage out before being able to work there. Again - this is really a different kind of wax.It also seems more difficult than normal paste wax to tell when it has hazed over (dried)and harder to wipe off -- seems moister than normal car wax when dried. Still recommend it, but use it in a well ventilated area.

Worked well, but poor packaging.
I bought this a couple months ago, but didn't get to use it until today. This is important, because I'm about two weeks too late to be able to get it replaced. Just as I was starting to apply the wax, the bottom of the tube broke, spilling down onto my foot, which ruined a pair of my socks. Luckily it wiped easily off my shoe, so that wasn't ruined. The seam at the bottom of the tube appears to be fairly weak, so make sure you are careful when you are squeezing out the wax. I was able to do the whole wax job, just squeezing the wax out the bottom with the cap on the tube, and it worked great. My car now has a nice beautiful, highly reflective shine. Unfortunately, I have no way to store the wax that is leftover, and it will now go to waste (about 1/3 of a tube). All in all, I would recommend this product, but I would advise anyone who gets it to be careful while squeezing out the tube.

I've been waxing for more than half a century and I still enjoy it. I have been thru numerous products
At 70, I've been waxing for more than half a century and I still enjoy it. I have been thru numerous products. My Explorer is dark green metallic. I have a coat of MCG NTX, Tech Wax, and then two coats of MCG Gold Class. Beware, if your paint is not up to par, no wax will make it like showroom. Years ago I did the paint prep, MCG Paint Cleaner, and then MCG Paint Polish. Then the NTX wax. HOWEVER, I can say this new product for black/dark paints is remarkable is ease of use and increase over existing shine. Use a only a tiny bit on the applicator included, and spread it around very thin. My vehicle seems to only need one coat, but again as said, I have other good base coats beneath. Best reflection, deepest look. This is a find for dark vehicles . Love it ! !

Top Black Wax
I have always used Meguiars products on my black Jeep but when I saw this I had to give it a go! I am tremendously impressed, it comes in a tube with a sponge applicator and goes on very easily. It polishes off pretty easy too and the shine is absolutely top class. I must recommend this polish to anyone who owns a black vehicle!

Amazing black wax, the shine though!
Amazing wax. After one application of this stuff you can see a huge difference in shine and mirror on a black finish car. And it kept the car clean for a good week or two after. I normally use Turtle Wax black box kit, but I always wanted to try this stuff. Definitely worth it! Original paint 17 years later and it looks amazing.
