Does it have an "off" switch and is it interesting enough to play with when it is off?

It has an off switch and two volume levels. There really isn't anything to play with on this toy unless it's on. Everything on it is designed to make a sound.

Since they put everything in the product discription except the age, what age is this for?

I honestly think this product grows with the baby. We laid it on the floor in front of her at 3 months and now that she's 6 months she loves to be held up and stand at it to play. It also counts so I see her loving it still as she gets older.

I would love to purchase this toy but I need to know if the manufacture has corrected the problem of kids getting their fingers stuck in the toy?

My son loves this toy and we have had it for years. It is his favorite toy out of all of the ones I bought for him. Never once has his finger gotten stuck in it.
