Westinghouse 7787100 Ceiling Fan and Light Remote Control

We ordered this remote and it did not work for the fan light. We sent it back and Amazon replaced it. This one worked. Hope it continues. Thank you Amazon for sending it before you got the previous one back.

Not a universal remote like it states . Had to return wouldn't work with my fan

Definitely need the remote for the fan, since the chairs on the fan are super short and I have a vaulted ceiling. I was a little worried about the reviews saying how difficult it was to install or that it didn't work, but my 76-yr-old dad installed it without issues. For the simplicity of the remote, I do think it is a little pricey and more worth about $15-$20, but overall, I'm pleased with it.

After reading all the reviews I was scared to even purchase this. But I’m glad I did. We got it working on the first try and read the directions repeatedly before each step. One thing to mention: It beeps! I don’t mind this at all. But if you turn on a light or press any button on the remote it will beep. I think some will find this helpful. And I didn’t see anyway to disable the sound but I don’t mind it.

Very awkward falls out of your works well it was hard to install in the fan . Instruction should be better

Pretty decent, but the controller box is much larger than it needed to be, and didn't work with my Westinghouse 7214100 Harmony Two-Light 48-Inch Two-Blade Indoor Ceiling Fan, Brushed Nickel with Opal Frosted Glass - it simply doesn't fit in the dome! Seems pretty dumb, given that both products are made by Westinghouse. Also, when you turn the fan off with the remote, you need the remote to turn it on again. I had a different (much older) westinghouse remote that had a clever feature built in: When you turn the power off at the wall for 10 seconds, the next time you turn the power on, the light goes on. That seems much smarter to me, I dont' know why they didn't include that feature in this one. Wouldn't buy it again for those two reasons

The remote itself is very good in terms of function. Only complaint is the layout of the buttons. They could sacrifice size to make the buttons a little easier to use.

Figuring out how it fit through the bracket for install was the hardest part. I love the remote! Be aware it beeps when you turn on/off and you can’t shut off the beep sound. I don’t mind the sound personally.

Unfortunately our dog chewed up our remote for the ceiling fan and we were hoping the remote would operate our fan but unfortunately will have to install sensor in fan to make it work.
