Jolly Songs (Jolly Phonics)

The songs are great but with the British pronunciations, the CD is not totally usable as a phoneme teaching tool for my preschool classroom here in the US

I have been using the Jolly Songs CD for years. My kindergartners love the songs and they memorize letter sounds very quickly with them. We do one new letter sound each day starting on the second day of school. The only reason I did not give the review 5 stars is because the book is small,not a big book. Jolly Jingles is in big book form but I don't like the songs on that CD. My compromise was to write out the words of the Jolly Songs and glue them into the Jolly Jingles big book. The other kindergarten teacher at my school has the Finger Phonics big books and uses those with the Jolly Songs CD. The other essential jolly phonics items are the Jolly Phonics Wall Frieze, Jolly Phonics DVD, and The Phonics Handbook.

This jolly phonics book did not come with a CD. I was counting on it so that we could begin our program. I am very disappointed and frustrated. I will never order from this person again!

Received the book without the CD attached. E-mailed the supplier but have not gotten a reply as yet. Utterly frustrating.
