This s great, portable resource for amateur rockhounds. I definitely recommend it. Many nice, bright pictures and from a reputable source. I would definitely recommend this!!

Very nice pictures with excellent descriptions. The book has been a great help for identifying rocks, and very educational.

It was smaller than I expected but it does have interesting facts about many minerals

very good book for a summary of rocks and minerals. With that said, the book smells horrible! The chemical odor made me ill. I am placing it outside for now, in hopes of ridding its disgusting scent.

I dunno why youre buying it... What I can say is this... Photos are beautiful, informative, lots of different stones. I love geology, geography and all that stuff.. like getting ideas for writing and drawing. What can I say? Yes, I have drawn rocks in ballpoint pen so I learn the sense of stones. Crazy right?
