For this price expected a better reading experience

I ordered this book with a lot of anticipation but it has been 10 days since it's arrival and I haven't built the enthusiasm to read it- for one simple reason- the light printing. The paper to text contrast is so poor- I'm appalled. A tome this size anyway requires a certain amount of resolve to read but if it ends up being UNREADABLE due to a reason like this- it's a shame. I dont know whether it's insensitivity, apathy or just cost cutting on the printer's behalf but I'm disappointed I haven't returned the book because I'm a collector and I will somehow figure out a way but for anyone else considering this- plz go for Kindle edition- u'll be better off.
