This is just what I was looking for....
Product: Winsor & Newton Artisan Water Mixable Mediums Thinner, 250ml A while back I switched to water mixable oil paints and I have been missing a solvent like thinner. This is exactly what I was looking for. This thinner removes the gummy feel of water mixable oils. Because of this thinner, I am now fully satisfied with my switch to water mixable oils.

Pebeo 150 Saver
I have some thick water-based enamel paints that I almost tossed. The Pebeo brand thinner for 150 and 160 are much more expensive. These have saved even my clumpy paints.

Not working as I expected
I wanted something like the mineral spirits I used with ordinary oil paints, so I thought this would work in its place seeing as some reviews here say it does. However, it is not working out very well, the paint separates and breaks up to produce a horrible appearance of tiny lumps of pigment in a watery base. The only use I can find for it is to use for a very thin 'wash' on my canvas at the start before painting, and even then the paints tend to start breaking up if it isn't completely dry before I start. Maybe I am using it wrong, but anyone who thinks it will work just like mineral spirits is going to be disappointed.

Gives water soluble oils a smooth and buttery feel.
This water soluble thinner is brilliant and gives the paint a smooth buttery feel. It makes using water soluble paint a dream and no different to using traditional oils. Cleans up with soap and water in minutes and far better for your health. I am now inspired to paint even if I have half an hour to spare knowing that cleaning up only takes 5 minutes.
