Great set
I got this as my daughters class only had 2 to share between them and she didnt get much time in lessons to experiment. We have been doing it at home together and she can do it on her own. She loves make the different circuits to see which part she can connect to make noises or lights etc. Its fun to do with them or for them to try on their own.

Not for me - Great quality though.
Great item, very hard to work out though, more for 10 plus than 8. Even an adult who is used to wiring in a house found this complicated in parts.

Great Fun
Great fun, my 8 year old grandson loves it - and even 'designed' his own circuits. His joke was the circuit that gives an indication light when your torch is switched on!

Too much help needed for a 9 yr old.
Disappointingly difficult for a 9 yr old. A lot of adult supervision needed. Nine year old got frustrated with the amount of help he needed.

beginner friendly
I had something like this 35 years ago, which led to me getting into electronic engineering at uni a few years later. Mine, however, had a recipe for AM/FM radio, and this one doesn't, which is a bit disappointing.
