This is amazing. It fits snug in the window frame and is very solid. Super simple to install. I bought it to keep my kitty from breaking out of the window (again).

i don't do a lot of reviews but since this can help the kids i will do one, my little boy got out the back window a few days ago think god i have a full 6 foot fence but with in 5 minutes i noticed him and now im into safety mode,i was thinking bars for my windows would cost 100 or more per window for something good ,i was wrong i got these and this is so strong ,was packaged good and shipped fast ,i have a alarm system and a camera system and don't live in the best neighborhood but in the summer i like to keep a window open or 2 and its a pain to by pass the alarm so i leave it off at night, so i installed this bar on the outside of my window it fit perfect in the frame holes are great but i re drilled 2 so i could angel 4 inch screws into the studs . took me about 20 minutes total and they thing is soild as a rock .. i all ready feel safer with my window open i can still put my fan in it and i do not at all have to worry about my boy getting out the house or anyone crawling in at night no more.. ok now if there is a fire i will not be able to get out this window , so i have 7 windows down stairs im going to put these on the 3 that would most likely be broken into and let me alarm cover the rest . if u have a window your scared to leave open or a window the kids mess with get this it will give you 100 percent piece of mind, them safety latches are nice but i know my kid could open them within 15 minutes ,he will not be able to open this and i can sleep with fresh air at night again this is a 6 star product !!!!

Perfect fit for standard windows. Great value for the price. So easy to install. And does the job as it’s supposed to.

I got the first one in easy then realized I couldn't close the window. Then realized the screws are non reversing type meaning once it's in you can't unscrew it. So I guess this window is just open forever now.

I have ordered these 3 times for different basement windows. Very easy to install. Just use your own screws. I've used this on the top and bottom of a window, but we found it works better just putting this one on the top of a window and order the other larger piece from same company for the bottom. If you put two of these smaller bars on one window, the spacing will be off and you'll have to piggy back the legs side by side.

I had these put on a few years go on my windows because in summer I leave them all open. They work well and look nice. Hardly noticeable and decorative.

Love these. I live on the second floor of an apartment building that is an old renovated mill, with super high ceilings, so the second floor windows are 20+ feet from the ground. My dogs are just tall enough to look out the windows when they stand on their back legs, and I never left the windows open when I left for fear they'd jump straight through the screens. Now I can open my windows without fear of an accident and the peace of mind is absolutely worth the $50 I spent on two for two windows. Do take note of the measurements! They are not as "tall" as you might expect so you might not get the coverage you're looking for - know what you are ordering! And as other reviewers have mentioned, the screws that come with the window guard have a weird head that is neither Phillips nor flat - I just used different screws with no trouble at all.

The description was too vague on how to mount the gate. I live in an apartment complex and was looking for something less permanent to protect my kiddos from a 12 story window. The gate purchased came with bolts to mount directly to the window frame or somewhere more permanent. That’s not feasible where I live. I was hoping for the spinning wheel common to most baby gates and this option did not allow for that.

Installed these on my basement windows. Install was easy. Like other reviews say the included security screws are useless. I used heavy duty torx screws.

Excellent product. Happy with quality. I have ordered multiple. However, I wish there were more dimensions available for the height (more horizontal bars for taller windows. Otherwise good design and feels strong enough.
