This switch operated properly as a latching on/off switch, but I modified it for momentary action by removing the microswitch and turning the toothed latching ring on the air plunger upside down. I replaced the microswitch with another which required less actuation force, so it would turn on at 1.2 psi and off at .75 psi. Then I connected a dc powered led and the air hose to use the air switch as a low psi indictator for my septic air pump. Now I can look at my pump shed and see that it's working ok.

The product was perfect.. In my case, I had to cut out a wall section in a closet to gain access to the motor. The motor must be unscrewed from the base and rotated towards you to access the switch. I could not unscrew the two retaining screws with any socket wrench that I owned. Access is very tight. I finally found one shrew driver socket that fit. Once the two screws are removed, installation is easy. Reassembly is easy as well. Make sure that you re tighten all of the PVC fittings, or you will have major leakage issues. They only need to be hand tightened after the motor is screwed back into the housing. I did not replace the push button, only the switch. All is working fine.

UPDATE This switch failed September 12, so it lasted about year with normal use. Man I'm tired of Chinese junk...... This switch was easy to install and does latch inf on and off positions. There are a few differences between this and the original switch. The threads and nuts are smaller as well as the tubing. I was able to use the original larger tube and still thread the smaller nut on the new switch. The terminals on the new switch are also thinner metal so the wire connectors will not click on snugly. We will see how long it lasts. The Old switch gave out after 11 years of daily use. The pictures show the old nut size compared to the new tube as well as the original tube installed on the new switch. The Old tube is 1/4" OD and the new 3/16" OD. I didn't think to take pictures before putting it all together. As a side note, the air switch does not move much air compared to the Jacuzzi switch.

Product was as described. Good quality including the switch. Easy to install and arrived on time. Very happy with how it works. I used it as a replacement for my broken whirlpool tub switch and it works great!

Great replacement that fit perfectly. I had this installed and everything up and running in about 10 mins.

The switch and clear line hose worked but the chrome vacuum on/off valve button didn’t provide any air when pushed. I threw the chrome on/off away and used my original push button. Mainly bought for the electrical latch switch.

This air switch replaced a broken switch on my jacuzzi tub. It was a little hard to understand at first but once I pulled to motor and opened the box, it was evident where the switch actually laid. I had the entire project done in about an hour. This part was very affordable and probable saved me a few hundred if I were to call a plumber.
