Rock Solid
The base is so heavy, it tore itself out of the packaging, which is great - it gives more stability to keep the microphone from wobbling and moving around, which makes for better recordings.

Great stand at a great price!
I got an expensive mic and was afraid my cheap tripod stand would get bumped and fall over. I found this stand after a long search and did not want to waste money on a stand with plastic fittings that wouldn't last. This stand is very solid and quite large. The base is more than heavy enough to keep this from tipping over. It takes up a little more space depth wise but this thing is solid and will be around 20 years from now.

Exactly what I've been looking for, but maybe not used
I clip 2 tablets to my mic stand for lyrics and also controlling my Behringer XAir. Needed a heavy base that could support the added weight and my mic. This stand checked all the boxes and fits nicely into my performance setup. So yes, it's heavy, if that's going to be an issue for touring, gigging. Only 4 stars because the box was obviously opened, used and taped back shut.

Very Good Quality - But Terrible Package Condition
The Unit itself is everything I was looking for - Heavy weight and very long boom. The package however was received in terrible shape and fortunately resulted only in some superficial damage. Not enough to returned. I also agree with one reviewer that adjustment nob should have been metal instead of plastic. The unit however overall is Very good quality.

Five Stars
Extremely solid and well-built stand. Make note of the measurements of the stand: It has a much larger footprint than a standard (non-boom) stand, which is what gives it excellent stability. It is truly massive. When installing the mic holder or cage for the first time, pay attention to the top-most collar: It might not be immediately clear that there is a narrower telescoping extension. You need to make sure you are gripping that extension when tightening the holder or cage.

Best in class
Way more stable, same footprint (though base pole is taller), and less droop (no droop) than my similarly priced H&M. It is heavy, so, for some people, it may not be best for gigging, but it’s perfect for studio and home use. The tray that can be purchased as an accessory is also very useful.

One of the most stable mic stands I've ever used.
I bought this to use for a video camera. I have been so impressed with how much weight it can hold without slowly sliding out of place like many mic stands do. this one has a REALLY heavy base. I would not personally drag it around with me to gigs, but it's absolutely perfect kept in my studio.

HEAVY
I have owned an Ultimate Support mic stand and was looking for replacement. This mic stand has a nice primary pole however the boom is a standard mic stand. The real issue is the base plate. This thing is not only HUGE but HEAVY X 10. As a gigging musician it is absolutely not practical, I would not recommend. It is possibly 3/4 size of my Fractal FM9! Did I mention its HEAVY! I ordered another mic stand and will use the base plate for work outs, seriously.
