Not for energetic pups
Great leash, BUT I wouldn’t recommend it for dogs who aren’t fully leash/recall trained as it is very easy for rowdy pups to get loose. For trained dogs it’s fantastic! Long enough for your dog to have room to roam, but adjustable for when you want to keep them close.

Worth Every Penny!

Great quality here
These are incredible, I have the standard 6 foot journey man lead and now will add this to give me 12 feet. The standard lead I loop around my body when walking as we have a major bolter on our hands, if he decides he want to go somewhere he will go and potentially take me as a 220lb training weight. The shock / stretch lead will give me and him some slow down tension rather than a taunt stop.

Could be a great leash if only the clip wasn't opening with the slightest tug. It opened a few times while big passing streets and fortunately my dog didn't move too much. I may have one with a faulty clip, will seek replacement from Carhartt and update the review after.
