Helavo Foldable Lightweight Rollator Walker with Seat, 360° Swivel Wheels

This rollator with seat arrived next day, thanks to Amazon Prime, and was well-packed and easy to assemble, following the clearly-pictured instructions. As part of my nine-month recovery from fracturing several vertebrae, I need to keep active, with hard surface walking. I wear a back brace, which enables me to be seated pain-free and it also reduces the pain when standing or walking. However, I can suddenly get a pain spasm in back and legs and need to sit down urgently. I can walk unaided, but have been advised to normally use walking poles for better posture. I was so excited to try the product, that I loaded the bag with a bottle of water and a folded walking stick. (This one has a four-point base and it seemed better to fold it and stow it rather than use either of the two very useful walking stick holders, which have tape loops and a base cup.) My walk started on very uneven badly pot-holed road, which was tricky. Once on a better tarmac or concrete surface, I was amazed at how the walking position gave me excellent posture. I had deliberately chosen a model where one does not need to hold off the brakes in normal use. The toe tabs were easy to use, to lever the rollator over a kerb, and brakes were easy to apply when necessary. When I wanted to sit down, a full depression of each brake lever locked the brakes effectively. To stand up again was easy, as the seat was not padded, although very comfortable in use. The back support is excellent. The final part of the journey back home was uphill and again on rough ground, which was not easy. I was glad to have chosen a lightweight aluminium alloy model. The walk of about one mile, (5,000 steps) on mainly level road or multi-purpose path (wide, solid surface, designed for walking, wheel-chairs or buggy/stroller use) took me about one hour. Indoors, a quick tug upwards of the handle in the middle of the seat brought the two sides closer together, to take up less room. In summary, this is a 'game-changer' for me, and overcomes my anxiety about trying to go for a walk in my current condition and not being near a seat when I suddenly needed to sit down. I have shrunk in recent years to a height of about 5ft 10in, and, at their highest setting, the handles were in line with my wrists, with arms dangled, which the manual states is a correct position, which was indeed just right for good posture when walking. The seat height is not adjustable, but was perfectly satisfactory. Although I can walk unaided, I feel sure that it would work very effectively as a walking aid. I feel that I chose well, deliberately avoiding those cheaper models designed only for indoor use. The distinctive red colour looks impressive and helps to warn others. Every bit of the design and construction is excellent and really good value for £126.99

Absolute godsend! This rollator folds compactly and is fairly easy to set up once you’ve worked it out.The seat is very comfortable. It’s easy to manoeuvre and breaking is good.Slight drawback is the bag, which tends to fall off. Some elastic bands or ties will probably fix this issue. If the bag were used for storing the rollator it would get dirty from the wheels. Wheel covers would be good.It’s one size fits all but a narrower version would be great as some doorways are difficult.Overall I’m happy with it and it has helped me when out and about as I can take regular breaks, carry heavier items in the bag and feel supported walking.

It was very easy to assemble with the aid of a real paper booklet not digital. It is also feels vey Stabil when walking with it, is very reassuring. It fits in the car much better than the A framed type of walkers, taking up less room with the ability to fold flat the rear wheels. So far very pleased with it overall. Very prompt delivery also.

Got this to use instead of crutches on days out as mobility denotes the requirement of one after an accident. It's light enough to lift, easily assembling, but fiddly getting it into it's storage bag but it goes in after a fashion. The bag also zips down and doubles as a shopping bag when in use which, is actually quite sizable. Actually really helped me and meant I didn't need to use my crutches or constantly look for a perch to rest on. Not given 5 stars for 2 reasons, brakes are shockingly bad and whilst adjustable is not really made much of a difference and the seat is just thick mesh so whilst it is light it's really not nice to sit on but then the rollator itself was less than 100.00 so, you get what you pay for. I'm going to find a little velcro cushion to pop on the seat. Otherwise as a younger user needing it for mobility issues it's okay. If you want a cheapish but decent rollator I think you could do a lot worse. It seems well made, time will tell!

This is walker is very well made and enables a user to feel more confident about going out for a short walk alone. The seat is comfortable and stable enough to rest when needing a breather or feeling light headed, even for a taller person (above 6 foot). It is easy to set up for an able bodied person but if buying for an elderly relative it is best to be there to “put it together” for them.The breaks aren’t the best, as they lock the rear wheels and the unit will slide on laminate flooring or other smooth surfaces when pushing it along. Still would recommend for people that have had a stroke or get out of breath when walking short distance outside and regularly need to sit down.

Got this for my aging parents who both have medical issues. It’s great. Very solid and sturdy, nice seat if they need a rest or have to queue and a decent sized bag for shopping.

I got this rollator because I had two spine surgeries and wanted to improve my walking and retain some independence when going shopping and going out. I looked at several rollators before choosing this one. I got the black one which looks sleek and attractive. It was a bit heavier than I expected but it folded small enough to fit in the boot of my small car. It is easy to fold down and open only takes a couple of minutes. My feet do not bump on the wheels when walking and it moves very quickly. The Seat is comfortable but the back rest is rigid and offers good support. Brakes are good and lock securely when sitting. Wish the wheels were made of rubber or even pneumatic which would offer a more comfortable ride on uneven surfaces. It is good value for money. I would have liked it to have a smoother action when changing the height. Do I love this rollator? Absolutely YES! Would I recommend it? Definitely 👍🏽

Helavo have told me that I cannot claim back VAT because a rollator can be used by the elderly.In contrast, if you look at the Drive Nitro rollator, they have instructions to help you claim back VAT if you are disabled or have a Chronic health condition like my wife. The 1012 Helavo rollator is well built and pre assembled, you just need to unfold the wheels and slide 2 cane holders onto the frame if you want them.My wife is very happy with it and can now walk much further when she has the support of this sturdy and stable rollator, however, the wheels will skid when you apply the brakes hard on a very smooth surface.

Davvero bello nella colorazione rosso metallizzato, ha un aspetto solido e professionale grazie ai tubi grossi e robusti, sembra uno strumento sportivo, non è triste come altri modelli.È largo, quindi ci si siede agevolmente però bisogna prestare attenzione quando ci si muove attraverso le porte interne tipiche degli appartamenti poiché è largo. Probabilmente avrei preferito una identica versione un po' più stretta da usare in appartamento, dato che difficilmente si userà la seduta.Ma nel caso ci si debba anche sedere, questa versione larga è perfetta.La borsa in dotazione è di ottima fattura ma in casa non mi serve, quindi non l'ho agganciata.Non ho ancora capito come fissare il perno estraibile che serve a bloccare la staffa delle ruote posteriori, quella che si può ripiegare e che si fissa tramite un perno ad incastro.In conclusione, lo ricomprerei.
