Rodney Carrington: Live at the Majestic

I bought this video having never seen Rodney Carrington's stand-up routine before, and I can honestly say I've never laughed this hard at one comic in my life. To me, his songs make the DVD. He has a clever way of making you believe the song is going to be serious and then suddenly, one hilarious line changes the tune, i.e., Show Them to Me. If you buy this DVD, be sure to watch the special features which offers a behind-the-scenes look at Rodney and his creative process. He does finally get serious with one song at the very end of the special features section. It will really make you think about the ones you love. All-in-all, a DVD you can watch over and over again when you just need to laugh.

This guy is not like Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable guy or Bill Engval. One thing he does very catchy songs that can stay stoke in your head for days. The first half or so is just regular stand up and basically stories of things that had happened to him. The big jokes are the songs and trust me many of you will very patriotic when you hear them and SEE them. Plus you appeaciate bobbies even better then before Hahaha.

This is the best adult humor I have found without being just dirty. Full of sexual jokles, this is one very funny guy. We watched this as a family (3 kids 18,18,19 grandma 70+ and my wife and I late 40s)and even the most sexual topics we all laughed at together. The music was the best. Only guy I know that could write a song to get women to show him their boobs. This was great fun!

Live at the Majestic was Rodney Carrington's best work. It is a bit naughty and inappropriate so if you are easily offended then it is not for you.

I am completely satisfied with my purchase of this video of Rodney C. It is the complete show! Worth buying, and a great way to entertain your quests! I ended up buying a second one to send to my brother-in-law who could listen to it; he wasn't able to "see" it, due to becoming blind. He enjoyed it, and said he laughed all through it! Worth purchasing!

Any time you need a good laugh this is the movie to give it to you. Rodney is a nut and is goofy as can be. I enjoy watching him goof around on the stage. I would not recommend that children watch this move however because of the things he talks about and a few other things in the movie. However for the adult that wants to just sit back relax and have a good laugh, this is the show for you.

We were at the venue for the filming of this DVD, and I've got to say, he put on one heck of a show. The best thing about Rodney is that he's always fresh. He very rarely uses his old bit, so each time you see him, you're in for surprises, and this one was no exception. But it seems that he has taken a bit more of a conservative path since his show on ABC. If you've heard his old albums (Laugh You [...] and Morning Wood), you will probably agree that this is a bit on the "light" side. Just about anything that comes out of Rodney's mouth is hilarious, but I personally came to love the guy for his complete lack of respect for anyone or anything. While "Live at the Majestic" and "King of the Mountains" (they are both from the same show) are both well-produced and extremely entertaining, they lack the level of insult that made him famous.

My daughter hinted around that she liked Rodney Carrington, so I bought this for her. It was perfect timing when it arrived because she was having a bad day. When she got home, there it was, a package in her mailbox waiting for her to open. I obviously had to give this 5 stars all the way around. And for the record, I think Rodney Carrington is HILARIOUS!!!

This is one of the Funniest DVDs ive seen for a long time,this man could just stand on stage and give one of his funny looks and you would laugh,its not for kids very Adult humour....Show them to me well Rodney if i was at your concert i would,we play this for everyone who comes to visit it will be worn out soon love love love it

I have to admit that until just very recently I have never heard of Rodney Carrington. We are big fans of the Blue Collar Tour gang and especially love Ron White. After watching clips of Rodney on utube I went ahead and ordered this DVD. When the DVD ended I felt that I had been sold short only to realize that 74 minutes of non- stop laughter had went by much faster than I thought. We laughed out loud for the whole movie...it was great! I wish he had more. I have gone ahead and ordered a couple of his CDs, would prefer to watch him because he is so comical to watch. Not for young viewers as his content and language are x-rated....in a good way :) No regrets on this purchase whatsoever. Will also be giving a few for xmas gifts this year....lord knows we all need laughter in our lives.

this man is just bril at turning a song so funny a bit rude and I would say not for children but it is a great show

Great comedy

I got this DVD after seeing some clips on the internet. The language is very colourful to say the least and the subject matter is not suitable for under 18s but I loved the humour. As long as you are not easily offended, its a good laugh to watch. For those who have seen his clips on the internet and enjoyed them, the DVD is well worth getting.
