I have an older Tesla Model 3 that has two 5 watt USB-A ports in the front. The Dashcam app could not read the SD card adapter if I connected to a conventional Y jack. As a result, my Qi charger was drawing from one USB port and could not charge 2 phones at the same time. This cable solves the issue. I was able to use one USB-A port to connect the SD-Card and one side of my dual Qi charging pad. The other USB-A is connected to the other side of the charging mat. The SD card now works without any issues and I am able to charge two phones.

I used this to split the signal from my EMI emagic 2/6 audio splitter between 2 computors. There is a loss in db when this is used to split a signal. My USB port was not able to activate while using this splitter. If you need constant db levels, I would not recomend using this.

It doesn't really even do it's purpose. I used this for a 15ft USB extension cord but it didn't add current. If I plug my phone through the 15ft extension cord it will not charge. It will charge and stop and repeat in a matter of less than a second. Plugging this in didn't change anything, even in a 2Amp source. It does do data+power only on the thick wire but the thinner one does not do anything. Edit: Thin wire is only a backup if main power is lost my tests prove.

I bought this because the Wii U requires their external hard drives to have their own power supply. Now in days, almost all hard drives are portable. If I plugged in a portable hard drive to the Wii U without this cable, there would be power supply issues. With this cable, I have no issues playing games off the portable hard drive on the Wii U. I highly recommend for those wanting to expand their storage from the measly 32GB internal storage.

excellent Y cable to hook up devices that can't power a hdd automatically like my Wii u. i hooked up my hdd to the cable than plugged the 2 usbs into the console and it picked it up and has worked flawlessly since than.

The Android Auto in my car was charging my phone too slow. (My phone would actually lose battery over time) I used this to plug into the Android Auto and the other end a car phone charger. Now my phone actually charges while using Android Auto! Not a big deal for short trips but on long trips this makes all the difference.

NOTE: This cable will not charge Apple IOS devices. Works okay with Android. This USB connector is used to set up Tesla Model 3 dash cam for Version 9 system update. Works well to enable cam recording while continuing to charge mobile phone. Need a USB flash drive to complete the setup. Recommend.
