Das Horn Drinking Vessel 24oz

It's as cool as a jackhammer! If that jackhammer were made of frozen moonshine filled with angry killer bees! The steel rim make for a good feel when drinking from it and the strap makes sure you won't lose it after drinking the massive amount of liquid it holds. You will forget what happened, but the horn will be right where you left it. Plus, it will be ready to fill up again for that important morning hair of the dog. The stand is a nice touch and it looks pretty good as man-cave decoration. A row of them along a bench in front of a barrel full of mead would look even better! The rather pain nature is actually a plus. It looks good as is but if you're a ren geek or whatever it should be seen as a blank slate to do with as you will. It's even thick enough to (carefully) carve into it with a dremel if you have all that time on your hands. Overall, it's a big win. Save the real horns for hanging on the wall.

When I ordered this drinking horn as a complete and udder impulse buy, I was skeptic about what I was getting myself into. Two days later, I received it and placed it where all could see, however I did not have an event to use this fine drinking vessel. As a college student who is 21 (don't drink under the age of 21, kids), I took it to a college party and finally drank from the horn for the first time. That was when disaster struck. I wound up going full viking as I filled my horn with beer; my beard grew in full in 1.2 seconds and I went from a 5' 6'' scrawny man to a 7 foot bear man. I manly yelled at the top of my lungs and took the closest person to me in a headlock and beat the other party guests senseless with that poor person. As I realized what I had done, I took the liberty of pulling the house off the foundation and threw it onto the beach where I performed a viking funeral for all of the people I once called friends. I have no friends now. I am a lone viking. It was a good Saturday night.

Drinking beer from Das Horn is only the beginning, as I'm about to explain. So, I was sitting around waiting on my Das Horn, when it finally showed up. I opened the box, and man what a beauty this horn is. I thought about how fortuitous it was that I had this horn to drink out of. Little did I know, my world was about to change. It was a quiet night, a lot like this, when I poured my first beer into Das Horn. I took a few sips, and man the beer tastes WAYYYYY better in this horn. However, all of the sudden, I heard a bunch of pounding on my front door. So, of course I opened it and there were a ton of beautiful women at my door waiting for me. They had heard about me and my horn and wished to drink from the horn of glory. Being the gentleman I am, I let them in out of the cold and they began taking turns drinking from my illustrious horn. However, this was soon interrupted by another knock at the door. I honestly thought it was the cops since we were being so loud, but instead it was DJ Khaled! Man, I was so surprised that he too had heard about me and he had brought additional women to party with me, and he would supply the music. Of course, all are welcome at the keg of glory that is my place, so I let them in. We were partying it up, drinking from Das Horn, and listening to some sick beats from DJ Khaled. But of course that got interrupted by another knock at my door. THIS TIME, it was the cops. However, they weren't here to arrest me, they were here to sweep the area, as Barack Obama himself heard there was a Das Horn owner around and he wanted to challenge me in a chugging contest. Who am I to decline the President in a Das Horn chugging contest? So Obama and the Secret Service came right in. We poured the finest Natty Ice in our horns and proceeded to chug, but the President got a five second heads start because the Secret Service blocked me. However, I raced back from behind and beat Barack by 2 ounces! What a finish! I almost got arrested by the Secret Service for beating a sitting President, but B.O. gave me a pardon on the spot. What a great night, and I owe it all to Das Horn!

This was a really cool and unusual item I purchased as a gift. I would give it 5 stars, except the box it was packaged in had a big chunk out of the corner--not really an attractive thing for gift giving. However, the product itself was not damaged in any way. It got a rave review for "coolness" from its recipient.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. After searching multiple "real horns", they all had some sort of comment saying that the horn smells and was not useable. This one was exactly as described! My boyfriend was super thrilled to receive it and has used it multiple times for wine and even brought it out during his streams! It's a good size and can be worn around the neck as well!

Love drink out of horns but hate the guilt you feel from it? Das Horn is for you! Seriously though, it is wonderful! It makes a great gift and can be the perfect addition to costumes and will definitely make a statement if you take it to a party. People will be immensely jealous, which is the ultimate goal when you drink out of a horn, right? If you are going to leave it in the stand when it isn't in use, give it a good rinse before you use it, because dust collects in the bottom of the horn.

I love my Das Horn. I use it for Pub Crawls and other events. It’s made of plastic which I was kinda bummed about but now I like it because it is durable and has a clean surface for cool brewery and cidery stickers. It is a great gift as I will be gifting 3. It came in a cool box with instructions, yes instructions, but they actually have some cool drinking vessels ideas in there.

It's okay. NOT as easy to clean as you might expect. It is dishwasher safe but the problem is it's hollow all the way down to the very tip, that's nice if you want every last drop you can get to fit in there, the very inside tip is almost impossible to get clean, no matter how many times you put it in the dishwasher. Plus my hands cannot fit down there to clean the tip manually. It would work great as a display but if I wanted something just as a display I wouldn't get a cheap plastic horn, I wanted to DRINK from it like a VIKING!!! Just don't want to clean it like a peasant...
