The Four Gifts: How One Priest Received a Second, Third, and Fourth Chance at Life Review: The Four Gifts - Great inspirational read Review: A Great Book - Years ago, I had the opportunity to meet Fr. Joe when he was at St. Gregory parish. I was working on the telephone system at the rectory and had to check all the phones including the one in his room. He was resting so I was brief. We didn’t really speak but now, I wish we were able to, it would have been very nice talking with him. His mention of Serra High School and Fr. John Kelly brought back memories as I was a student there as well. Years later when I was working at the old AT&T, I worked at a place of business. And bumped into John Kelly again because he was an administrator at what is now known as Samaritan House, a business that deals with the less fortunate, providing food, clothing and so much more. It is a thriving concern and has John Kelly to thank at its roots. I worked on Serra’s phone system and St. Gregory’s over the years and remember quite a few of the names Fr. Joe mentions in the book. Thanks very much Fr. Joe for your story, it will help more folks than you could know.

Recovery from alcoholism by priest who goes on to do great things
A good story if you are interested in the life of Catholic priests who are loved for their differences from conventional.

Good read
Fr. Bradley's book is very realistic and although our situations our different, it is not difficult to relate to many of his ideas. The book is easy to read and I think anyone can find something in it for themselves because we all struggle and need to come clean about our mistakes and thank those who help us to get back on our feet. It deals with death, addictions and the truth of life on the mend.

The Four Gifts
A quiet God inspired book relating the four gifts of Father Bradley's life: reclaiming his faith, sobriety and ordination as a priest. a new heart, and a new life. If you ever wonder where God is Father Bradley can tell you. He is with each and everyone of us always. Father Bradley's life is one of believing that God is a "let's make a deal God" to "God, please guide me". He tells of a journey of faith, disbelief and a devil may care attitude when his father dies. He takes you step by step on his journey. He never sugar coats anything. He shows through this book how God never gave up on him and you feel privileged to watch Father Bradley go from a self-centered young man to the to the Priest he is today. God is in every word on every page of this book. You will not be disappointed.

A Personal Masterpiece
This memoir touched me deeply. I know only too well the pain of addiction, the road to recovery, and the struggle to take one day at a time. Honesty, truly deep honesty, is the cure, the road to spiritual freedom, and the path back to God. Thanks for sharing Father Joe.
