Excellent product, but be warned: Don't trust Amazon recommended bundles
Don't trust Amazon bundle sales. This glucose tester is shown bundled with Contour Next test strips as a package deal. You might think that Amazon would bundle the correct test strips with the glucose tester, but NO!!! The bundled test strips DO NOT FIT this monitor. So at this point I have to give the product a rating of "1" because I can't try it to see if it works. Edit: Amazon very quickly replaced the wrong test strips with the correct ones, so now I was able to use the meter. I've used other glucose meters in the past, so it's fair to say that this one is the best as far as speed is concerned, and the required blood sample is extremely small. It works with just a tiny amount of blood, where other meters would have failed. So I would highly recommend this blood glucose meter to anyone interested in these advantages. Cost of test strips is higher than most, but likely worth it.

Replaced old Freedom monitor
Since my older Freedom FreeStyle monitor went wacky, I ordered this one. Its works fine; however I knew my sugar was on the high side so I checked it immediately. This new & improved one sucks somewhat in that area. WTH? no number just read "HI" well duh, I knew that but give me a number. Used an old FreeStyle monitor (had 2) that did give me the ACTUAL number reading (yes it was high). My Freedom FreeStyle Lite test strips that I had also work on this one; Thank goodness as the prices for those have really increased since I last bought them online. Reminds me of printers! Fairly priced but the CARTRIDGES are out of sight expensive!!! I do not care for the lancing device at all. With older hands, it's really hard for me to press the trigger.

Happy to find it
I have had a like unit for many years, and it quit. I was so happy with it, I was thrilled to still find it. It is very easy to use, uses a very tiny bit of blood and is very accurate. What's not to like?
